The Dark Brotherhood is a guild that players can join in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Throughout their questline, players might wonder when they’ll finally get their hands on those cool black robes—and while they do become available near the end of the questline, there’s actually a way to grab them much earlier.
Oblivion Remastered: How To Create Custom Spells
Spellmaking, or creating custom spells, is an ability in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered that needs to be unlocked. Here’s how.
The Black Hand Robes and Hood are enchanted pieces of light clothing that boost several useful minor skills, making them one of the most valuable early-game outfits. This guide covers exactly where players need to go and what to do to obtain them shortly after escaping the Sewers in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
How To Get The Black Hand Robes Early In Oblivion Remastered
Fast Travel to the Bruma East Gate and immediately take the first left, heading south. You will come across a cluster of houses on your left. As you pass the first house and approach the second, check if the front door reads "J'Ghasta's House." If it does, you're in the correct location. Lockpick the door and step inside to begin your sneaky endeavor.
There are a couple of chests within the house that you can pick open and loot for some gold and even a
Steel Cuirass. However, your main objective here is to acquire the Black Hand set. To do this, head downstairs and locate the Locked Keg tucked away in the corner. It requires a Very Hard lockpick skill, so it might take several attempts to get through. If your Security level is decent, the process becomes easier, but even if it’s not, patience will get you there. Gently nudge the pick upward—if it falls slowly, immediately lift and set the tumbler.
After a few tries and possibly a handful of broken picks, you’ll unlock the keg and can claim the Black Hand Hood, Black Hand Robe, and The Five Tenets (Book).
Once you've secured the items, exit the house promptly and fast travel to a different location to avoid being caught by guards who may try to confiscate your stolen gear.
