For sword wielders and assassins brandishing daggers, the Blade Skill in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered determines how much damage players will deal with these bladed weapons. As players level it up with the hope of maxing it out at 100, they will unlock new passive effects on top of the increased damage.

How To Increase The Blade Skill In Oblivion Remastered
As with all Skills in Oblivion Remastered, there are three ways to increase the Blade Skill:
- Manually doing the Skill, in this case, hitting opponents with Blade weapons.
- Paying for Skill trainers who teach Blade.
- Reading Blade Skill Books
Hitting training dummies and other objects does NOT level up the Blade Skill.
Fastest Ways To Level Up The Blade Skill
As Blade experience is gained by hitting opponents with Blade weapons and is not tied to damage or killing enemies, players want to find targets that will last the longest. They will also want to deal less damage, allowing them to attack more before a target dies. Here are some tips for farming the Blade skill in Oblivion Remastered:
- Use weak, damaged daggers to deal less damage and get more attacks in before killing targets.
- Attack while low on Fatigue to deal less damage.
- Don't level up your Strength or Agility Attributes, as these will increase damage with swords and daggers, respectively.
- Summon creatures for free combat training.
- Heal enemies after hitting them to keep them going as a training dummy.
- The Arena in the Imperial City is a great place for constant combat.
