How to Increase Carry Weight in Oblivion Remastered

There are quite a few ways players can increase their inventory capacity, thereby increasing the number of items they can carry at any given time in Oblivion Remastered.

Invest in Strength

Strength is the only attribute that governs your carry weight. Each point in Strength increases Encumbrance by 5 points. With enough investment in this stat, players will never have to worry about carrying loot again.

Potions and Spells (Fortify Strength/Feather)

The Fortify Strength and Feather effects can temporarily increase your maximum Encumbrance, allowing you to make a run back to town to sell or store loot without having to slow walk all the way.

You can either use a Potion of Fortify Strength or a Potion of Feather or use the corresponding spells if you have the ability to cast them.

Console Command

In a pinch, you can use Console Commands to artificially give yourself extra carry weight. The Console Command for this is:

player.forceav encumbrance -X

Replace X with however much you want to increase your carry weight.

Console Command changes are not permanent, and if you save/reload, you will most likely have to reuse the command.

Mods
