Enchantments in Oblivion Remastered can greatly enhance your weapons by giving them special effects. But you won’t be able to use such weapons all the time, since each enchantment has a certain charge. During your adventures, you may find an item that can greatly simplify the recharge of your equipment. Therefore, in this guide, we will tell you how to get and use Varla Stones in Oblivion Remastered.

Varla Stones are similar in purpose to Soul Gems, with a slight difference. In addition, it is a very limited resource, so you will want to use it wisely.

Where to Find Varla Stones

Ayleid Ruins in Oblivion Remastered

Unlike Soul Gems, which can be found in various locations, Varla Stones can only be obtained in the Ayleid Ruins in Oblivion Remastered. In most of them, you will find locked cages that can contain these rare items. To open them, you will need to find the appropriate switches.

Additionally, Varla Stones can be found on pedestals in the Ayleid Ruins. Unfortunately, they are quite high up and cannot be reached without the Acrobatics skill. We recommend instead using arrows or spells to knock down the Varla Stones and then simply pick them up. It is also worth noting that these items are extremely rare, so you should collect them all when visiting the ruins.

What Are Varla Stones Used For?

Varla Stones in Oblivion Remastered

Varla Stones are an alternative to Soul Gems, except they recharge all enchanted weapons in your inventory. It is recommended to use them only when you use multiple enchantments at once. But even in such situations, if possible, use Soul Gems, as they are not only cheaper but also easier to obtain.

So, to use Varla Stone in Oblivion Remastered, you just need to find the item in your inventory. Then click Recharge All Weapons to recharge all your weapon enchantments. This, of course, will destroy the Varla Stone.

An alternative way to use Varla Stone is to sell it. Due to its rarity, it costs 1000 Gold, which may seem like a good deal. But in reality, it is a waste of a valuable item. In Oblivion Remastered, there are many other ways to earn even more Gold. At the same time, you will get more benefits from Varla Stone if you use it for its intended purpose, so it is highly recommended to keep it in your inventory.
