The Ring of Destruction is a pretty useful accessory players can get early in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and as soon as they leave the tutorial into the open world of Cyrodiil.
Oblivion Remastered: Spies Quest Walkthrough
The Spies quest in Oblivion Remastered tasks you with locating two moles, Jearl and Saveri; here’s how to find them quickly.
But finding it might require more than knowing its exact location, since this enchanted item that fortifies the Destruction Skill is a little tricky to spot. So, let's first check where players need to go to get this ring early in the adventure, and then, the exact steps they need to take to grab it before it's too late.
How To Find Ring Of Destruction In Oblivion Remastered
Enchanted items such as the Ring of Destruction are not only valuable, but also effective to boost the stats of the characters before they face some of the most dangerous enemies in Cyrodiil. So, to get this valuable ring, players must travel to the southwestern shore of Lake Rumare, to the Ayleiid Ruins of Fanacasecul, just outside the Imperial City, and follow the indications in the images above to find the right spot.
The exact location of the ring is a rock formation below the first pier that extends into the lake, facing the Imperial City. Players need to look a little bit to the right, from the circular end of the pier where the Conjurer enemy spawns (next to a bedroll and an Ayleid chest), look to the bottom right for a spot with a broken barrel. From there, jump into the water and face the opposite side, to spot the rock formation that looks like a small cavern in the shape of a triangle (or an 'A' letter). The ring can be found if players swim down and inspect the stones at the right side of the formation.
Oblivion Remastered: How to Level Mysticism Quickly
Mysticism is one of the hardest magic schools to level in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. Power leveling requires the use of custom spells.
In case players haven't found the exact spot yet, here's a more detailed breakdown of how to get the Ring of Destruction in Oblivion Remastered:
- Travel to Fanacasecul, south of Weye (the spot where players can find the Jewel of the Rumare, another useful ring).
- Look for the place with the broken barrel, on the ledge next to the water surface on the first pier of the ruins.
- Face the lake and step in the water, now turn around and dive.
- Look for a rock formation that looks like an 'A' shaped cave.
- Now, spot the ring between two stones on the bottom left side of the formation, and grab it.
There's a chance for the ring not to be there if it has been moved either by walking enemies (Mudcrabs) that might have been following the players around the ruins, or simply stuck on the ground. If that happens, load a previous save and travel to Fanacasecul again to see if the ring has spawned.
The Ring of Destruction fortifies that magic school skill by 8, which can be overcap (Above 100) the skill, and this makes it great since the higher the destruction skill, the less the cost of magicka needed to cast minor level spells.
Remember that if players return later in the game stages, there's a slight chance to find a leveled version of the ring that increases the enchantment to +10, but since there's also a chance for the ring to be moved around since it's underwater, and the game's physics are a little whimsy, its better to secure it right out of the Imperial Prison Sewers at level 1, than to lose it forever later when players need it the most.
