How to Do the Infinite Health Glitch in Oblivion Remastered

Leveling up a character in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered takes a long time, so some players are resorting to glitches that increase their maximum health and other stats in order to make the game a bit easier. The infinite HP glitch in Oblivion Remastered is a little more complicated than other exploits that players have discovered, but the reward is more than worth the effort.

This glitch takes advantage of the custom spell crafting system in Oblivion Remastered, letting players drain their health to a negative value while simultaneously fortifying their maximum HP at the same time. This results in an ever-increasing health cap that will make players unkillable. It's useful for all Oblivion Remastered playstyles, and the magic skill requirements aren't too high.

How to Do the Infinite HP Glitch in Oblivion Remastered

The first step of the Oblivion Remastered infinite health glitch is enchanting a piece of armor with the Drain Health effect. This requires access to an Altar of Enchanting, which can only be found in the Arcane University or the Frostcrag Spire player home.

After the enchanted item is created, the next step is to visit an Altar of Spellmaking to create some custom spells. The first custom spell should have these effects:

Fortify Health on Self
Fortify Attribute (Endurance) on Self
Drain Health on Self
Fire Damage on Self
Restore Health on Self

The Fortify effects should have a magnitude of 100 and a duration of one. Drain Health should be left at the default magnitude of three and duration of one. Fire Damage should be set to a magnitude of 12 and a duration of one. Finally, Restore Health should have a magnitude of five and a duration of two.

After that, a second spell should be created that damages the player as much as possible. Fire Damage with the highest possible magnitude and a duration of one works for this. For the glitch to work, that damaging spell should be used over and over until the player's health gets very low, ideally around 10. Make note of how much damage the spell does to avoid accidental death. The infinite Magicka glitch helps here if players don't have potions to keep them casting.

Immediately after casting the final damaging spell that brings the player's health low enough, they should swap to the other spell and spam it repeatedly. Once the desired HP value is reached, wait one in-game hour. Then, load the autosave created by waiting. This process forces the player to have a negative health value. To complete the glitch, all that's left to do is equip the enchanted Drain Health item created at the start of the glitch process.

That enchanted item will now be bugged, increasing the player's maximum health based on how many times they cast the Fortify Health spell they created.
