There are 21 Classes to choose from in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, as well as the ability to create a custom Class. The Classes determine the character's starting Attribute stats, as well as which Skills are Major or Minor. However, during the course of the game, players may regret their initial choice or wish to try out another Class without having to start a new playthrough.

Can You Change Class In Oblivion Remastered?
After players exit the sewers and end the tutorial, there are no official ways to change Class in Oblivion Remastered, especially for console players. However, for those on PC, there is a way, using console commands.
While this can be annoying, console players shouldn't despair too much, as Classes in Oblivion Remastered aren't too defining. At the end of the day, players can level up any Skill they want by doing it, and assign Attribute points where they like upon leveling up.
Changing Your Class When Exiting The Sewers
As mentioned previously, all players get one chance to change their Class upon ending the tutorial. As players exit the sewers, they will be asked if they are happy with their character. From here, they are able to change their appearance, Race, Class, and Birthsign.
A good idea is to make a manual save, just before leaving the sewers. This will allow you to reuse the save to play as other characters without having to redo the tutorial.
How To Change Class In Oblivion Remastered On PC With Console Commands
There are many console commands in Oblivion Remastered, with one of these allowing players to change Class. To use these commands, press backtick (`) or tilde (~). However, before doing anything, players will want to make a manual save file, in case they don't like the changes.
Be aware that using console commands will disable all Achievements for that save.
After opening the console, type:
- showclassmenu
Press Enter and then click the same console command key as before to remove the menu. All being well, players should now see the Class Selection menu. Simply choose your new Class as you would at the start and continue your adventure.
All Attributes In Oblivion Remastered, Explained
There are 8 Attributes in Oblivion: Remastered and they are essentially the character's main stats and work slightly differently than in the original.
What Changes Will Be Made?
Players should notice that their main Attribute stats change. If they were above Level 1 and had thus upgraded these, those points will be naturally allocated to Attributes favored by their new class.
There are also console commands to change Attribute and Skill levels.
They should also see that they have a new set of Major Skills, with previous ones turned into Minor Skills. The values should be different too. This means that players may lose access to certain perks gained from their previous Major Skills. With some Attributes lowered, they may not be able to cast certain spells, and expect other changes too.
