Mephala is the Daedric Prince of lies, deceit, and murder, which is why it shouldn't come as a surprise that her latest bidding in Oblivion Remastered involves her newest champion starting a war between two rival clans that share a homestead.

How to Get Ring of Namira (Namira’s Shrine Quest) in Oblivion Remastered

The Daedric Prince of Darkness requests players to let out their ugly side in Oblivion Remastered for a rather powerful ring.

Daedric Princes can certainly be despicable, and Mephala is one who relishes in that fact. Her task can be a treat to complete, as it requires a bit of finesse and espionage to pull off. So, if players want the Ebony Blade and to start a tussle with two factions, then this is the Oblivion Remastered quest for them.

Mephala's Shrine Location in Oblivion Remastered

The Shrine of Mephala can be found in the north region of the Imperial City, just before the Silver Road on the map. Once players are here, they will be able to start the quest as soon as they reach Level 15. However, in order to activate Mephala's attention, players will need a Nightshade. The Nightshade is a plant that can be found across Cyrodiil, but it's a common ingredient sold in the Main Ingredient shop in the Imperial City's Market District. While it is relatively cheap, players can still save their gold and steal one from the counter inside the Main Ingredient. With this offering acquired, head to Mephala's Shrine and provide the offering to the statue between midnight and dawn (12 AM - 5 AM).

How to Kill Nivan Dalvilu and Frame the Ulfgar Clan in Oblivion Remastered

Mephala's request sends players to Bleaker's Way, where they must kill Nivan Dalvilu and Hrol Ulfgar in secret, and place fake evidence on their corpses. To start, let's kill Nivan Dalvilu. At around midnight, use lockpicks to break into Nivan's house and kill him while he sleeps. Failing that, kill him in his house where there are no other witnesses. Now, pick up the Dalvilu Cermonial Dagger item found on a table at the east wall, which will be used for Hrol Ulfgar. With Nivan Dalvilu dead, head into Hrol Ulfgar's house, where on the table just before the bedroom, players will find the Ulfgar Family Ring. Players will want to take this ring and then place it into the dead Nivan Dalvilu's corpse.

How to Kill Hrol Ulfgar and Frame the Dalvilu Clan in Oblivion Remastered

To kill Hrol Ulfgar and frame his murder, make sure that you have obtained the Dalvilu Cermonial Dagger from Nivan Dalvilu's House. With this item now claimed, head into Hrol Ulfgar's House and head upstairs. Even though it's three floors, try to remain in stealth so as not to wake him up. Now that players have found him sleeping, murder him and then place the Dalvilu Cermonial Dagger item onto his corpse to frame him, and pick up the Ulfgar Family Ring on the way out to place on Nivan Dalvilu's corpse if that's not been done already.

How to Get the Ebony Blade in Oblivion Remastered

With both Nivan and Hrol dead, players will want to head into the Bleaker's Way Goodwill Inn and tell Kirsten about the murders. Kirsten will then go outside with her weapon drawn, and the Ulfgar and Dalvil clans will kill each other until there is only one family left standing. At this point, head back to Mephala's Shrine, and she will reward the player with the Ebony Blade. The Ebony Blade is a one-handed longsword blade with some pretty good stats for those who love stealing health and stopping wizards from using spells:

  • Silence on Strike (10 Seconds)
  • Absorb Health on Strike (8 Points)
