However, the Hand-to-Hand skill does nothing for the class, and either Blade or Blunt could be replaced with a more useful skill to add some more variety. Ultimately, it's a bit of a misplaced class that would benefit from more Stealth mechanics, but because it's in the Combat specialization, it's a bit hampered.
C-Tier: Barbarian

The Barbarian lacks the gameplay variety of other Oblivion Remastered combat classes, but if you pair it with the Orc or Redguard racial abilities, it can become quite strong – just try to find ways to mitigate incoming damage.

However, the Hand-to-Hand skill tends to be a wasted Major Skill unless you are going for a Pugilist build.
B-Tier: Scout

The Scout class, like the Rogue and Archer, combines the strengths of Combat and Stealth classes. Though Speed is very nice in certain situations, having a high Speed stat won't make or break a build. It basically just makes your navigation of the world a bit faster. The Scout is a really fun class, but if you care about min-maxing your build, consider choosing a class in the Stealth tree that doesn't have Speed as a Favored Attribute.
A-Tier: Knight

The Knight is a great hybrid class in Oblivion Remastered that has two major downsides: the Hand-to-Hand skill, which is wasted on most Combat classes, and its Personality Favored Attribute.
Personality can be great for certain playstyles, like if you want to play a wandering trader or a socialite in the Imperial City, but it's not very useful when it comes to improving damage and survivability in combat. The Illusion Skill is surprisingly useful in combat, though it can be difficult to cast Illusion spells reliably without Intelligence or Willpower.
A-Tier: Rogue

The Rogue, like the Archer, seems like something that should be in the Stealth class tree. However, its use of Athletics, Blade, and Block as Major Skills makes it more suited for in-your-face combat rather than sneaking in the shadows. It's more of a swashbuckler than an assassin.
The one downside of the class, in terms of potential damage output, is its Personality Favored Attribute. If this were Agility or Strength instead, the Rogue would be a lot better at combat.
Oblivion Remastered: Level Scaling, Explained
The level scaling system in Oblivion Remastered closely resembles the original game's level scaling with some minor differences.
S-Tier: Crusader

This class is a lot of fun to play, and you'll have plenty to do in combat as you weave between spells and weapon attacks. Its sole downfall is its Hand-to-Hand skill proficiency, which doesn't do much for the class when it also has the superior Blade and Blunt as Major Skills.

C-Tier: Healer

The Healer class isn't necessarily one of the worst Oblivion Remastered classes – ultimately, every default class in the game serves different playstyles well.
But compared to other Magic classes, which take full advantage of the Magic systems of the game or effectively combine with other playstyles for a little variety, the Healer doesn't have the right Attributes or a good enough combination of Major Skills to serve as a base for powerful Magic builds.
C-Tier: Sorcerer

Its major downfall is that wearing Heavy Armor can be terrible for Mage builds in Oblivion Remastered, as its high weight can be difficult to mitigate without the Strength Attribute.
B-Tier: Nightblade

However, its Speed Favored Attribute would be better spent on Strength, and drags down what would otherwise be one of the best Oblivion Remastered classes.

B-Tier: Mage

The Mage class is Oblivion Remastered's bread-and-butter Magic class. Mages also have Intelligence and Willpower as Favored Attributes, which are the most useful Attributes for most Mage builds. The one downside of the Mage is that it's a bit one-note – if you want to do anything aside from cast spells, look elsewhere. But if a pure spellcaster sounds fun, pick the Mage class.

The Spellsword class is another hybrid class that combines the strengths of the Combat and Magic Class lists. Illusion is particularly useful for its Chameleon spell and the ability to Paralyze (or otherwise control) enemies.
The downside of the Spellsword is that it has Endurance and Willpower as Favored Attributes instead of more useful Attributes of Strength and Intelligence, both of which are associated with the Battlemage.
A-Tier: Battlemage

The downside of the Battlemage, compared to the Spellsword, is this lack of an Armor skill and the lack of a Block skill. However, the Battlemage is better than the Spellsword because it has the Intelligence and Strength Favored Attributes, which are more useful for this kind of play style.
It also has proficiency in more unique Magic schools, which grants it access to a much wider variety of useful spells.
Oblivion Remastered: Fastest Leveling Methods
To level up fast, Oblivion Remastered players must raise their highest-level Skills, including both Major and Minor Skills.
S-Tier: Witchhunter

The Witchhunter is the best Magic class in Oblivion Remastered, and one of the best classes in Oblivion Remastered overall, because it perfectly blends Magic and Stealth skills with useful Favored Attributes. It ends up being a very unique playstyle that feels like a Shadow Archer, able to snipe an enemy from afar with Poisoned arrows just as well as it can hold its own in direct combat with Conjuration and other useful combat spells.
Though the Witchhunter does not have Armor or melee Weapon Skills, its Marksman Skill combined with Conjuration gives you a way to summon an ally who can distract enemies while you keep lobbing arrows. Its Mysticism skill is extra useful for spells like Detect Life, too, which makes up for the class's lack of Sneak.

C-Tier: Monk

The Monk class is arguably one of the worst classes in Oblivion Remastered in large part because it has both Acrobatics and Hand-to-Hand as Major Skills. Though its Agility and Willpower Favored Attributes are useful, having two of the least useful Skills in the game is a big drawback.
In the original game, having Acrobatics as a Major Skill meant you could level up faster, as the leveling system was tied to your progression of Major Skills. But because you don't need to pick up Acrobatics to level faster in Oblivion Remastered, it winds up being a wasted slot.
That, plus its mish-mash of Hand-to-Hand, Marksman, and Alteration Skills, makes the Monk an unfocused class for most playstyles. Even if you do want to make a pure pugilist build, you'd be better off picking another class.
C-Tier: Agent

B-Tier: Bard

With Blade, Block, and Light Armor, it performs well in close combat, while its Alchemy and Illusion Skills can support it with buffs, poisons, and the ability to control enemies. However, the downside of the Bard class is that its Favored Attributes don't exactly match its Major Skills. Intelligence is not very useful for a class that only casts Illusion spells, though it can help Alchemy, while Personality can be helpful for social minigames but doesn't work as well for the class as Strength might.
B-Tier: Pilgrim

Though you won't go sneaking about as one might expect with a Stealth class, Oblivion Remastered players will find it easy to break into locked chests and find it easy to interact with the social elements of the game.
The PIlgrim is something like an adventurer class, with the ability to talk to people they meet along their journey and efficiently make their way through dungeons as they unlock doors and defeat enemies with their Blunt weapons.
The major downside of this class, when it comes to pure damage output and build potential, is its use of the Endurance and Personality Favored Attributes when it could benefit significantly from a higher Strength stat.
A-Tier: Acrobat

Though it does have the Acrobatics Major Skill, its Favored Attributes of Endurance and Agility work very well for a stealth combat build. If you don't want to worry about using Potions and Poisons, and don't care to interact with the Magic systems in the game, the Acrobat isn't a bad choice.

A-Tier: Thief

Because the Thief class has the Acrobatics skill, which is borderline useless, and the Speed Favored Attribute, which doesn't directly contribute to your ability to sneak or help out in combat, it's not the best Stealth class in the game.

If you are looking for the best Stealth Archer class in Oblivion Remastered, look no further than the Assassin. Unless you want to mix in some Illusion, Mysticism, and Alteration spells to further enhance your stealthiness with a Custom Class, the Assassin offers everything you need to get started with the overwhelmingly popular (and immensely satisfying) Stealth Archer playstyle.
