An Elden Ring player has shared a video showcasing their method for punishing invaders, trapping and embarrassing them in an impressive fashion. Almost every Elden Ring player that has partaken in the massive RPG's player-vs-player systems knows the pain of dying to a strong foe, wielding one of the game's strongest builds. Many of those same Elden Ring players have decided to become the invader themselves. This new video offers everyone a cathartic example of delightful Elden Ring retribution.

Invading in Elden Ring is often a very straightforward process. Players are sent to another's world and try to hunt their opponent down. Most of Elden Ring's strongest builds are very straightforward in that players can be extremely aggressive with them. The first player to land their attacks is often victorious due to the sheer amount of damage they can deal. This style of Elden Ring PvP play clearly has its weaknesses, though.

One Elden Ring player decided they'd had enough of aggressive high-damage PvP invaders. Reddit user LordTexugo shared a video online of their strategy to defeat these enemies in a post titled "The Best Cooking Recipe for Invaders." The video shows LordTexugo luring Invaders into enclosed spaces, body blocking them from escaping, and then using an item named the Visage Shield to shoot fire out until the opponent is defeated. It's surprisingly effective.

There's more to LordTexugo's strategy than just using the Visage Shield, of course. To start, LordTexugo has to survive the attacks of the invader while executing their strategy. To do so, they have incredibly high Vigor to increase their HP, and they've also increased their Endurance so that they can roll far enough to body block without taking damage. The armor they're wearing, at least most of the time, is the high defense Fire Prelate Set. Lastly, they also consume Ironjar Aromatics which is a major defensive buff that will prevent them from being knocked down or interrupted.

It's the Visage Shield that does the vast majority of the work, though. The Visage Shield is equipped with the Shield Skill Tongues of Fire. Using this skill shoots jets of fire from its face and can be held continually. In the enclosed space LordTexugo chooses for his encounters, there's nowhere for their opponent to escape from the fire.

The fact that so many Elden Ring invaders are willing to charge into a dark corner, unsuspecting of what awaits them, is perhaps a criticism of the current PvP meta. Regardless, it's incredibly fulfilling to see these invaders punished for their arrogance. Their frantic dodging is certain to put a smile on many Elden Ring players' faces.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
