Elden Ring has released its newest update, which addresses several bugs, adjusts Spirit Ashes, and nerfs an NPC in the game. The update has just rolled out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, and is primarily focused on the game's massive Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Several aspects of the DLC are being updated and altered in the latest patch for Elden Ring.
Released earlier this summer, Shadow of the Erdtree has left an unforgettable mark on the gaming industry. Filled to the brim with detail, deep and satisfying gameplay mechanics, and an entirely new story, Shadow of the Erdtree has become one of the biggest recent moments in gaming, boasting the highest rating for an expansion in history. Just like the base Elden Ring experience, Shadow of the Erdtree is massive, launching players into a new section of the game's intricate world. Developers have now rolled out a new update for Elden Ring, which addresses multiple issues in the new expansion.
Elden Ring: Euporia Twinblade Build Guide
Equip the strongest holy weapon in Elden Ring and maximize its potential with this versatile Euporia twinblade build guide.
Elden Ring's latest patch targets several bugs that have been affecting gameplay, specifically within the game's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. A bug that caused the Death status ailment from the "
Death Flare Skill" to be applied to the "Deadly Poison Spray" has been fixed, as well as a bug that caused the power of the
Red Bear NPC to be higher than intended. Players will encounter a wide range of NPCs during their Elden Ring journey, with quite a few popular characters added as part of Shadow of the Erdtree.
Also addressed in Elden Ring's August update is a bug that kept players from invading other worlds while in certain areas of Scadu Altus, a new location in Shadow of the Erdtree. Multiplayer has also been changed in the new patch, solving a bug that allowed cooperative play in some portions of Scadu Altus despite there being no bosses present in the area. Just like the base game, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree pits players against challenging bosses, some of which are considered to be the hardest in FromSoftware's history.
Despite Shadow of the Erdtree selling incredibly well, developers have stated that the expansion is likely the last for Elden Ring. The FromSoftware team has expressed deep gratitude for the reception of the DLC but stated that there are no plans to create any more additional content for the game, indicating that Shadow of the Erdtree marks the finish line for the popular title. Thankfully, Shadow of the Erdtree is massive in both scope and scale, providing Elden Ring players with dozens of hours of new content to explore and enjoy.
