Elden Ring is a massive open-world RPG with a staggering amount of content, and the achievement/trophy list can look quite intimidating at first glance. Indeed, the quest to earn every last trophy will have players scouring the Lands Between for legendary weapons, spells, and spirit ashes while taking down some of the toughest foes From Software can put in their path.

Elden Ring's achievement list does require a lot of exploring, but fortunately, the vast majority of boss achievements will be attained on a typical playthrough, as most of them will be on the way to the Erdtree and the final boss within. Acquiring the legendary weapons, spells, and spirit ashes will require a lot more legwork. These are scattered all over the game, even as far afield as the hidden Haligtree. This guide will provide players with information on how to track down every last achievement in the game, though three playthroughs will be necessary to attain all the trophies linked to endings.

The First Playthrough

shadow of the erdtree dlc mechanics growth

The goals for trophy hunters on the first playthrough involve taking out most of the bosses with Trophies associated with them, as well as grabbing the items necessary for the four collection trophies. This means that the first playthrough will be the longest and most difficult of the three needed to clean up the trophy list (and earn the Platinum Trophy on PS4/PS5).

This first run will be aiming for the "Age of Stars" ending Trophy, and won't be heading into the Subterranean Shunning Grounds beneath Leyndell. This is because the Shunning Grounds must be visited to get the "Lord of Frenzied Flame" ending, so they'll be handled later.

Bosses

During this playthrough, players will need to track down the following Bosses for Trophies:

Where possible, each of the above bosses links directly to a guide on how to fight that boss. They are listed in the recommended order for fighting them, based on difficulty and availability. However, this game allows players to change up the order in which they face bosses considerably. Players struggling with a given boss may wish to skip to another and come back later thanks to the game's flexibility.

When it comes to collection trophies during the first playthrough, players should be able to grab all the necessary items on a first playthrough following this guide. This will complete Legendary Armaments, Legendary Sorceries and Incantations, Legendary Talismans, and Legendary Spirit Ashes.

For Legendary Armaments, players will need to grab the following items:

  • Grafted Greatsword - Dropped by the Leonine Misbegotten boss in Castle Morne.
  • Sword of Night and Flame - Found in the Carian Manor
  • Bolt of Gransax - Found in Leyndell, Royal Capital

All of these locations must be visited to defeat the bosses listed in the previous section, except for the Cave of the Forlorn. For a full explanation of how to find every legendary armament in Elden Ring, click here.

Elden Ring Legendary Spells and Incantations Guide

For Legendary Spells and Incantations, players will need to track down the following:

  • Flame of the Fell God - Dropped by Adan, Thief of Fire, in their Evergaol in Liurnia
  • Greyoll's Roar - Acquired from the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid for three Dragon Hearts, after defeating Elder Dragon Greyoll
  • Comet Azur - Acquired from Primeval Sorcerer Azur at the Hermit Village in Mt Gelmir
  • Stars of Ruin - Acquired from Master Lusat in Sellia Hideaway in Caelid, requires players to progress Sorceress Sellen's Questline
  • Elden Stars - Found in the Deeproot Depths, hidden in a cave west of the Great Waterfall Grace
  • Founding Rain of Stars - Found at the Heretical Rise, in the Mountaintops of the Giants, accessed via an invisible path
  • Ranni's Dark Moon - Found at Chelona's Rise in Moonlight Altar, in Liurnia, only accessible after reaching the final stage of Ranni's Questline

These are a bit further off the main path than the legendary armaments, but still fairly easy to access as long as players are able to defeat the necessary bosses to reach Deeproot Depths and Moonlight Altar. For a full explanation of how to find each of these, click here.

Ranni's Questline & The Age of Stars Ending

elden-ring-ranni-the-witch-key-art

In order to get the "Age of Stars" ending, players will need to complete Ranni's Questline and then summon her after defeating the final boss by using her summon sign, which appears nearby. This Questline has players assisting Ranni in her mission to remove the Golden Order's influence from the world and bring about the Age of Stars, by defeating Starscourge Radahn and retrieving the Fingerslayer Blade.

Players then need to track down Ranni in Ainsel River and aid her by slaying a Baleful Shadow, before retrieving the Dark Moon Ring and finding her again at the Moonlight Altar. Click here for a full guide to Ranni's Questline.

The Second Playthrough

Elden Ring

After clearing the game and getting the Age of Stars Ending, along with completing all the other tasks mentioned in the previous section, players will need to start New Game+ in order to earn the other Ending Trophies. On their second playthrough, players only really have two goals: Defeat Mohg the Omen, and become the Lord of Frenzied Flame.

Mohg, The Omen

subterranean shunning-grounds

In order to defeat Mohg, The Omen, players will need to head into the Subterranean Shunning Grounds beneath Leyndell. Ideally, players should head there after defeating Morgott the Omen King during NG+, so that they meet the requirements for reaching the Three Fingers after defeating Mohg and don't need to backtrack.

Mohg is a powerful boss that is entirely immune to all status effects, but he isn't nearly as resistant to physical attacks, so players should choose their weapon for this battle accordingly. Otherwise, he fights identically to Mohg, Lord of Blood, but without a second phase, so players can utilize many of the same tactics against this boss.

Lord of Frenzied Flame

To reach the Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending, players will need to defeat Mohg in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds and then head to the chest he was guarding. Roll at the wall behind it, or just attack it, to reveal a hidden path. Use the coffins jutting out of the walls of the pit to descend deeper and find dozens of Merchant Corpses.

There is a door here that will only open when the player removes all their clothes, and heading through the door will allow players to inherit the Frenzied Flame. Once this is done, players will automatically be locked into the Frenzied Flame Ending. Complete the rest of the game as normal to see the ending.

The Third Playthrough

elden-ring-age-of-fracture-ending

Easily the simplest part of the Trophy Hunt, players just need to reach the end of the game on their third playthrough and choose to repair the Elden Ring by interacting with Queen Marika's body after beating the Elden Beast. The only way to lose access to this option is by inheriting the Frenzied Flame, so players should avoid doing that a second time if they want to succeed here.

Elden Ring is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
