An Elden Ring player recently went online to share a video of their custom character, that they based off of real life celebrity Taylor Swift. The recreation of Taylor Swift is remarkably accurate, highlighting the in-depth character customization that players can utilize within Elden Ring. Taylor Swift now joins the ranks of other famous icons recreated within Elden Ring, including figures such as Geralt of Rivia and even Kratos from the God of War series.
Elden Ring provides players with a staggering amount of customization options through its massive collection of armor pieces, weapons, and the extremely varied character creation options. Players can create just about anyone they want by combining the three, leading to many fans of FromSoftware's latest title to recreate famous characters from real life and fiction. One such example is a player who turned their custom tarnished into Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones. While the majority of these recreated characters are fictional icons from other games and television shows, some players have even remade actual real life celebrities such as Hulk Hogan and Barack Obama. Taylor Swift is the latest celebrity to get the Elden Ring treatment, with one player sharing their attempt at recreating the pop and country singer within the Lands Between online.
YouTube channel Hevs Character Creations shared a three-minute-long clip online, which showcases their Taylor Swift build as well as the different customization settings they used to create it. The virtual celebrity was then brought to more fans' attention by Reddit user GuitarheadCA, who shared a minute and a half long clip showing Taylor Swift fighting various enemies including a boss. The actual build that the character uses seems pretty standard, as she uses a sword and shield combined with some of the incantations featured within the game. While the video is quite humorous, it also shows the depth of customization that players are allowed within Elden Ring.
Commenters on GuitarheadCA's post shared their thoughts regarding Hevs' Taylor Swift recreation, as well as some puns using the pop icons name. One such player wrote "Swiftly handled," in reference to how quickly the character defeated the boss featured within the video. The recreated Taylor Swift defeats a Bell Bearing Hunter in just over a minute, showcasing that the comical build is also a considerably strong one.
Elden Ring provides its fans with limitless options in terms of character creation, providing players with a wide variety of play styles and possibilities they can use on their journey across the Lands Between. Players have even gone so far as to make a Squidward build, which was capable of defeating a late game boss. While FromSoftware's future titles might be a departure from its typical RPG oriented gameplay, it seems likely that the near limitless customization options afforded to players in Elden Ring will make a return.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
