The Sword Lance is a Remembrance weapon in the Elden Ring DLC. Acquired north of the Shadow Keep, this is an excellent weapon with a unique skill, Spinning Gravity Thrust. This Ash of War allows the user to rotate around with the power of the gravitational power to charge forward and deal serious damage.

After making your way to the Shadow Keep Back Gate, you will encounter Commander Gaius, who is riding a Wild Boar. After defeating Commander Gaius, you will get the Remembrance of the Wild Boar Rider. This can be traded in the Roundtable Hold to Enia, the Finger Reader. There are two options, one of which is the Sword Lance.

How To Obtain The Fingerprint Stone Shield In Shadow Of The Erdtree

The Fingerprint Stone Shield is one of the Heaviest Shields in the game, which also has a 100% physical damage reduction. This shield can be acquired inside the Cathedral of the Forsaken. After defeating Mohg, the Omen attack the altar in the boss area, revealing a path you can take. You can drop down multiple headstones to reach the Fingerprint Stone Shield.

As you are using Sword Lance, which is a Thrusting Weapon, the counterattack damage will increase while using the Spear Talisman.

The Verdigris Armor is the go-to choice when considering an armor set for this build. Verdigris Armor is one of the few sets that provide 100 poise and is lighter than the Bull-Goat Armor. Acquiring the armor is also easy because you have to complete Moore's questline, and even if you fail it, you can simply kill the friendly Kindred of Rot, having him invade you and defeat him to acquire the armor.

This is because most of the time, you will not take any damage, even from bosses; however, you will lose Stamina on every attack. Blocking and then counterattacking might leave you vulnerable for your guard to break. In this case, the Greenburst and the Virdian Hidden Tear are great Crystal Tears.

As there aren't many Incantations that shine in this build, it is best to go with the basic supportive Incantations like the Golden Vow and the Flame, Grant me Strength. These Spells will not only increase your damage but enhance your defensive capabilities. You will need 25 Faith to use Golden Vow, so you must reduce a few points from Arcane and Strength to meet this requirement.

Golden Vow	Found on a corpse in the Corpse-Stench Shack on Mt. Gelmir. This Incantation increases your damage output by 15% and negates all damage by 10%. The buff lasts for 80 seconds.

Sword Lance Buffing Routine & Attack Strategy

Before you begin a fight, you must buff yourself with the Incantations that will persist for quite some time.

Apply the Golden Vow incantation to boost damage output and negate damage to self.
Apply Flame, Grant Me Strength incantation to increase damage output.
Consume the Wondrous Flash to increase Stamina Regeneration and eliminate Stamina consumption for a short duration.

The whole point of this build is to play around the Fingerprint Stone Shield. You need to keep blocking with the shield while counterattacking with the Thrusting Weapon. As your Stamina starts to deplete, you can stop guarding for a few seconds to regain Stamina. As the Verdigris armor is heavy alongside the shield and weapon, you will probably have a Heavy Load, making your c haracter perform a Heavy Roll.

Heavy Roll takes quite a lot of time and leaves you wide open for attacks, so you can not resort to dodging to avoid an attack in this build.
