In Elden Ring, gestures are forms of non-verbal communication that you can use to interact with other players and NPCs. While most gestures are used to express certain emotions, offer direction, or simply taunt other players in PVP, there are a few gestures that tend to have gameplay implications. For instance, performing the Erudition gesture in the Fringe Converted Tower dispels the magic spell blocking entry into the tower.
In the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the game introduces five new gestures, and two of them have gameplay implications. If you're trying to acquire everything that the expansion has to offer, you should not miss out on collecting these five gestures, and here's how you get them all.

How To Get The Ring Of Miquella Gesture In Elden Ring
If you pre-ordered the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you will have already acquired the Ring of Miquella gesture upon launching the game after downloading the DLC. However, if you didn't pre-order the game, you can still acquire the gesture by defeating a DLC boss along with another player who pre-ordered the DLC.
You can also complete a co-op session with strangers and acquire the gesture as a reward. Again, the condition still applies, and the gesture is only rewarded if the stranger has already pre-ordered the game. This strategy will not work if your friend or the stranger in a co-op session also acquired the Ring of Miquella gesture through the method discussed.
How To Get The May The Best One Win Gesture In Elden Ring
The May the Best One Win gesture can be picked up near the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. There are two ways you can reach this Site of Grace:
- Make your way to Castle Ensis and clear this legacy dungeon by defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight. You'll discover the Highroad Cross Site of Grace when exiting the dungeon.
- If you choose to skip Castle Ensis, you can use an alternate route to reach Fort Reprimand and then make your way through Moorth Ruins to discover the Highroad Cross Site of Grace.
The gesture is on the ground near the NPC
Hornsent and
Needle Knight Leda. You also acquire a note titled Monk's Missive that provides you with vague details on where you must use this gesture.

How To Get The O Mother Gesture In Elden Ring
The O Mother is another gesture with gameplay implications, as it unlocks the path to a secret area in the mid-game. The gesture is located near a statue of Marika in the Bonny Village. To acquire this gesture, you must first discover the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace, which can be reached by following the road from the Highroad Cross Site of Grace and taking the fork in the road to ride south.
Once you're at the ruins, head east to find a caved-in section that leads you underground. Carefully descend to the bottom of the ruins to find a tunnel leading you in the southeastern direction. Following this tunnel, you'll find a ladder that takes you to the Bonny Village.
Discover the Bonny Village Site of Grace and then ride northeast across the broken bridge to discover the O Mother gesture by the headless statue of Marika under a withered tree. You must perform this gesture near the Shadow Keep Back Gate Site of Grace to gain access to a secret area in the expansion.
How To Get The Two Fingers Gesture In Elden Ring
To find the Two Finger Gesture, you'll need to reach the Hinterlands, which can be accessed after using the O Mother gesture. You must then discover the Hinterlands Site of Grace and ride east into the Finger Ruins of Dheo. After a short ride past the Fingercreepers, turn north, and ride all the way to the end of the cliff.
Here, you'll find a hornsent corpse performing the Two Fingers gesture. Interact with the corpse to pick up the gesture. Navigating the Finger Ruins can be challenging, so be sure to use the map featured in the above image for reference.

How To Get The Let Us Go Together Gesture In Elden Ring
The Let Us Go Together gesture can be acquired when fighting the final boss in the DLC. At some point during the fight, the boss will grab you and put a spell on you. If this happens twice during the fight, you'll die instantly, and the next time when you spawn at the Site of Grace, you'll be rewarded with the Let Us Go Together gesture.
However, if you manage to defeat the boss without being grabbed, you can return to the boss's arena after the fight to find the gesture as an item on the ground.
