Enir-Ilim is the final area in the Elden Ring DLC. To access this area, players must explore the Realm of Shadow and defeat a few Legend bosses. This area is a Legacy Dungeon with many items, weapons, and armor sets hiding away in rooms and behind altars.

This guide includes a step-by-step walkthrough of what players have to do to unlock and reach Enir Ilim in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Enir-Ilim is not an optional area, and players who want to complete the main story of the DLC will have to enter this area and defeat the boss residing at the top.

How To Reach Shadow Keep

The first step will be to reach Castle Ensis, which should be northeast of the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace. Summon your Torrent and head past the Ellac Greatbirdge, finding the Castle Front Site of Grace and the Castle Ensis behind it. After exploring inside the Castle, you will reach the Castle-Lord's Chamber, where you will have to fight Rellana, Twin Moon Knight.

You can skip the Castle Ensis part if you head southeast of the Castle Front and access the Fort of Reprimand from the Ravine.

After defeating Rellana, head through the doorway and enter Scadu Altus. Towards the north, you can spot a massive building, which is the Shadow Keep, and the next location you have to get to. Ride your Torrent along the main road, heading past the multiple patrolling Messmer Soldiers and Furnace Golem to reach the elevator leading to the main gate.

Explore the Shadow Keep, making your way to the top. Here, you will fight a Red Knight guarding the door to Messmer the Impaler. Messmer is another Legend Boss you must defeat to acquire Messmer's Kindling.

How To Get To Enir-Ilim

After defeating Messmer, you must head back to the Storehouse First Floor Site of Grace, head left, and go down the elevator. This will lead you to multiple rooms filled with Jar Innards. Go past these until you reach the West Rampart and cross the bridge to get to Viaduct Minor Tower. Just past this tower is the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. In the Ancient Ruins, you must go to the underground area and explore the whole area until you reach the Church of the Bud.

Where To Go After Church Of The Bud

Church of the Bud is a small area where you can find a Legend boss named Romina, Saint of the Bud. Defeating her and proceeding forward will let you access the Sealing Tree, which you must burn using the Messmer's Kindling. Once you do this, you will be teleported to Enir-Ilim.
