However, the streamer ultimately prevailed, now taking pride in completing this absolutely incredible Elden Ring feat.

Despite releasing at the beginning of summer in 2024, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree continues to spark discussion within the video gaming community. While developer FromSoftware has provided fans with extra chunks of content for its previous releases, such as Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3, as well as Bloodborne, Shadow of the Erdtree felt different, adding to the already massive world of Elden Ring. New storylines and weapons are abundant within Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, as are new bosses, some of which are considered to be the toughest fights ever created by FromSoftware. Streamer Ainrun recently shared the last part of the "Worlds first 1HP/1FP/1Stamina run," announcing the ludicrously difficult task had finally been completed. The challenge only included Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, but this doesn't make the accomplishment any less impressive, with the streamer revealing the fight against Radahn took over 20 hours and over 900 attempts alone. This fight caused quite a few issues for Elden Ring players back when Shadow of the Erdtree first dropped, with many calling the fight even more difficult than other FromSoftware foes like the base game's own Malenia, Bloodborne's Orphan of Kos, and Sekiro's Isshin.

Brutal Challenge Took Over 50 Hours to Complete

All in all, the Shadow of the Erdtree challenge run took Ainrun close to 55 hours to complete, with Radahn being one of the biggest obstacles. Back when it was first released, Shadow of the Erdtree rubbed some fans the wrong way due to its aggressive fights and overall increased difficulty, but it also received praise for just how much it added to the base game. "The one HP didn't matter much because I'm used to no-hit runs," explained Ainrun. "The one stamina was the worst part. You can't chain actions like spam rolls or do combos because every action takes stamina and goes to the negative. You need to wait a whole second for your stamina to go back to the positive before you can do another action. The one FP meant I couldn't cheese bosses or use Ash of Wars or anything. Just pure movement and parries and self-hate."

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree enjoyed huge financial success amid its initial release, becoming one of the top-selling DLCs of all time on places like Steam. However, while Shadow of the Erdtree was a big hit both critically and financially, the team at FromSoftware has confirmed there are no plans to develop any more extra content for Elden Ring. Regardless, Shadow of the Erdtree opened up a massive new sandbox for players to explore and get lost in, with challenging runs like Ainrun's helping to shake things up for those who may have already completed the expansion the standard way.
