Players had a lot of hopes going into the Elden Ring DLC, and one of the things many players wanted to see is more content that revolves around the Frenzied Flame, Goddess of Rot, and other Outer Gods – even, possibly, the Greater Will itself. The Outer Gods of the Elden Ring universe are not often described, and rarely depicted, choosing instead to act through vassals and grant power to beings they choose.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – How To Open Belurat Locked Doors (Well Depths & Storeroom Key Locations)
There are two locked doors in Belurat – but the keys that unlock these Shadow of the Erdtree doors are hidden elsewhere in the city.
As it turns out in Shadow of the Erdtree, lore-hungry fans are going to be getting a lot of information about this facet of the game's setting. The
Outer God Heirloom talisman is just one of these items that lets us learn a bit more about the Outer Gods of Elden Ring, and it gives a pretty nifty boost to the Arcane stat too. To get the Outer God's Heirloom, you'll have to take a hidden path leading away from the Belurat, Tower Settlement entrance to an area above the DLC spawn point.
Outer God's Heirloom Talisman Effects & Tips
A Talisman engraved with the lore of an Outer God.
The clan, who lost everything in the great fires, peered upon the corpse of their ancestor, normally an act of sanctity, and saw in its shadow a twisted deity.
The clan had suffered such torment that the horrible thing was taken as an object of worship.
The Outer God's Heirloom is a new Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree that serves as one of the few Talismans that actually raises your Arcane stat. The Outer God's Heirloom Talisman weight is a mere 0.3.
The Outer God's Heirloom Talisman specifically raises your Arcane by a huge 5 points, and will no doubt be a go-to Talisman for all Arcane builds going into the DLC – remember that Bleed scales off of Arcane for some weapons and Affinity types.
This is the same amount as Marika's Soreseal, which raises non-Physical stats by 5 but increases your incoming damage immensely. If you were using Marika's Soreseal to shore up your Arcane, the Outer God's Heirloom effects have no drawbacks, making it worth replacing Marika's Soreseal. This will both increase your Arcane and increase your Defensive stats back to default levels.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – How To Beat Blackgaol Knight Boss Guide
The Blackgaol Knight is one of the first Elden Ring DLC bosses most players will come across, but it is punishing if you try to fight it unprepared.
Where To Find Outer God's Heirloom Talisman Location
To get the Outer God's Heirloom in Shadow of the Erdtree, you must find Prospect Town, found technically right above the spawn location for the Elden Ring DLC. But to get here, you must head west from the Three-Path Cross site of grace by the entrance to the tunnel that leads to Belurat, Tower Settlement (this site of grace is located almost directly north of the Gravesite Plain site of grace).
Head through the tunnel until you see the stairway that leads up toward the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace outside Belurat, then turn left (south) and hug the cliff wall to find a hidden path that leads to an upper area of the Gravesite Plain. After following this hidden path you should discover the Cliffroad Terminus site of grace. Rest here, then look to the south to see Prospect Town.
Prospect Town is home to the remnants of a Clan that was almost completely devastated by Messmer's crusade. They're not very friendly to the Tarnished, and will attack you with brutal melee and ranged attacks almost immediately on sight. They have a lot of HP, too, and can be difficult to deal with without having leveled up with Scadutree Blessings.
Whether you decide to sneak by these enemies or not, the Outer God's Heirloom is located at the very top of Prospect Town. After climbing upward, jumping up rooftops, and ascending a final set of stairs, you will reach a chest that contains the Outer God's Heirloom talisman.
