In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Fire Knight's Shortsword is a new weapon of the Dagger weapon type. The Dagger weighs 2.0 and can be infused with Ashes of War, as the weapon does not have a unique skill of its own. The weapon's description states its power increases when flame imbuement is applied. This means Flame Art and Fire Ashes of War work better for this Dagger. FromSoftware has added a lot of new Ashes of War in the DLC, and some of those can be great with this Dagger, like the 
Ash of War: Flame Spear.
Elden Ring players can also try a Bleed build on this weapon, which includes a 
Lord of Blood's Exultation Talisman and 
White Mask for increased attack power when Blood Loss occurs. As the weapon is acquired as a drop, players are not restricted to having only one of these in a playthrough. You can farm two daggers and have one in both hands, afflicting the Bleed status effect much faster.
The Fire Knight's Shortsword can be upgraded using Smithing Stones to +25 and can benefit from spell-based or consumable weapon buffs.

Where To Find Fire Knight's Shortsword Location
To get the Fire Knight's Shortsword in Shadow of the Erdtree, you must reach the Shadow Keep in Scadu Altus. This weapon has no fixed location and it can only be obtained as a drop from the Fire Knights. There are a lot of Fire Knights throughout the Realm of Shadow; however, you will need to defeat the ones who carry the Shortsword in both of their hands. The easiest location to farm these enemies is northeast of the Storehouse, Seventh Floor Site of Grace. This is the Grace you access right before activating the lever that lowers the statues and leads to the boss room of Messmer the Impaler.
The drop rate of the weapon is relatively low because the Fire Knight can also drop other items like part of their Armor Set. To increase the drop rate of an item, you can equip the 
Silver Tear Mask, which increases Arcane, thus increasing discovery, as well as the Silver Scarab Talisman. The 
Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot is an item you can use and craft to help you acquire the Shortsword quicker. Keep teleporting back and forth from the Site of Grace repeatedly until it drops.
