Dancing Blade of Ranah is a Curved Sword in the Elden Ring DLC. This weapon has quite a unique movement compared to other Curved Swords, especially its Weapon Skill, Unending Dance. As the name suggests, this skill can last forever if you have enough FP and Stamina. Players can acquire this weapon early in the Realm of Shadow and not have to fight any boss before it.
This guide includes all the details on where to find the Dancing Blade of Ranah and what Talismans and Incantations work best with it in Shadow of the Erdtree.
Elden Ring: 10 Best Quests That Are Easy To Miss
It's a bit surprising how much players are prone to miss a few characters' Quests in Elden Ring.
How To Obtain The Dancing Blade of Ranah In Shadow Of The Erdtree
The
Dancing Blade of Ranah is located on the Cerulean Coast. To reach this location, players can either head south of the Ellac River Cave or go through the Dragon's Pit to reach Charo's Hidden Grave, then take the path west of the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Upon reaching the Cerulean Coast West Site of Grace, you can look for a path leading down into a cave that leads to the Southern Nameless Mausoleum. Inside the Mausoleum is the
Dancer of Ranah, who drops the weapon once she is defeated.

The weapon requires 9 Strength to wield but has no scaling with it. This means that players can focus on increasing Dexterity, increasing their overall damage, and casting the speed of Spells. The Dancing Blade of Ranah can be upgraded to +10 using Somber Smithing Stones.
Best Talismans To Pair With Dancing Blade of Ranah
The weapon skill of the Dancing Blade of Ranah consists of successive attacks that you can perform on the enemy. As the skill does not deal enough poise damage, there is a high chance that you might be interrupted while performing it. In most cases, you need to be ready to cancel the skill to perform a dodge. The Rotten Winged Insignia and Millicent's Prosthesis can buff the successive attacks. The Shard of Alexander will increase the skill's damage; meanwhile, the Blue Dancer Charm works wonders if the Dancer Set is equipped.

Dancer's Set, which also drops from the Dancer of Ranah. Each of the four pieces of the armor set provides a 2.5 % increase in damage to dancing attacks totaling up to 10%. Best Character Attribute Distribution For Dancing Blade of Ranah
Most of your Attribute distribution should be focused on increasing Dexterity, Mind, and Endurance. This is because the build requires a lot of FP and Stamina, which are consumed by the weapon's skill. The weapon only has scaling in Dexterity, so it is wise to put most of your levels into that Attribute. For the rest of the levels, you can hedge to Vigor, but make sure you have at least 25 Faith to be able to use Golden Vow.
If you want to Respec your Attribute levels, you can head to
Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon inside Raya Lucaria Academy, and give her a
Larval Tear.
The following table shows the Attribute distribution for a 200-level character:

Best Wondrous Flask Of Physick Combination For Dancing Blade of Ranah
For the Wondrous Flask of Physick, the Thorny Cracked Tear is a great option, which, similar to the Talismans, increases the damage of consecutive attacks. The main problem with this build is that you will find yourself relatively weak. This is because of the light armor and no Talismans to help out your defenses. However, you can equip the Opaline Hardtear, which will give a 15% damage negation, which might not be enough but still can help you in many scenarios.
|
Flask Tear |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Obtained upon killing Putrid Avatar near Fort Faroth in Caelid. The tear increases all damage negation types by 15% for 3 minutes. |

|
Obtained upon killing the Putrid Avatar in Consecrated Snowfields. This tear increases the damage of consecutive attacks and lasts for 3 minutes. |
Elden Ring: Best Obtainable Early Incantations
Incantations are a powerful kind of magic in Elden Ring, and these are the best ones that can be acquired early on in the game.
Best Incantations To Pair With Dancing Blade of Ranah
The Armor Set and the Talismans provide a damage boost to the Dancing attacks, meaning equipping an offensive Incantation would not be wise. However, that does not mean you can use the Supportive Incantations, especially those that can be stacked. Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength both increase your damage output as well as your damage negation.
|
Incantation |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Found on a corpse in the Corpse-Stench Shack on Mt. Gelmir. This Incantation increases your damage output by 15% and negates all damage by 10%. The buff lasts for 80 seconds. |
|
|
Found behind Fort Gael, guarded by two flame chariots. This Incantation boosts your physical and fire damage output by 20%, and the buff lasts for 30 seconds. |
Best Great Rune To Pair With Dancing Blade of Ranah
Great Runes can activated by using Rune Arcs. Players can acquire Rune Arc by helping other online players in their worlds or by looting certain corpses. Malenia's Great Rune is a great option that benefits players who go for an aggressive playstyle. The ability to restore your lost health allows you to fight for a longer duration without worrying about healing yourself.
|
Great Rune |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Obtained upon defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella. This Great Rune allows you to recover lost HP when attacking immediately after getting hit. |
|
|
Obtained upon defeating Starscourge Radahn. This Great Rune boosts your maximum HP, FP, and Stamina. |
Dancing Blade of Ranah Buffing Routine & Attack Strategy
Before a boss fights or an online player invades you, it is best to buff yourself beforehand with the Incantations.
- Consume the Wondrous Flask to increase damage negation and the damage of consecutive attacks.
- Apply the Golden Vow incantation to boost damage output and negate damage to self.
- Apply Flame, Grant Me Strength incantation to increase damage output.
The build has relatively low damage negation, meaning that most attacks can take out a massive chunk of your health bar. However, because of how light the Armor Set and weapon weigh, you will have a Light Roll, allowing you to dodge most attacks easily. Even though the weapon skill can go on for a long duration, it is advisable that you cancel the animation as soon as you see an incoming attack.
