Best Affinity and Stats for Fire Knight’s Greatsword

One special feature of Fire Knight’s Greatsword is its innate ability to gain extra damage from fire-related Ashes of War or greases, as explained in its description:

A long, slender blade that undulates like fire.

Blessed with a flame incantation. Further flame imbuement will amplify the effect and greatly increase the armament's power.

Flame is the best affinity for Fire Knight’s Greatsword as it scales highly with the Faith stat. However, Fire infusion is also viable since the sword scales well with Strength. Other infusions are not as effective for this weapon. You should ideally aim for 60 Faith for Flame affinity or 60 Strength for Fire affinity for raising Fire Knight's Greatsword's attack. Beyond 60, you will start getting diminishing returns from raising only one stat.

If you have a Strength, Faith, or hybrid Strength-Faith build, Fire and Flame affinities are the best choices. For enemies weak to fire, switching to Heavy or Sacred affinity might be beneficial.
