Greatsword of the Fire Knights. A long, slender blade that undulates like fire. Blessed with a flame incantation. Further flame imbuement will amplify the effect and greatly increase the armament's power.

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Fire Knight's Greatsword is a new weapon of the Colossal Sword weapon type. An incredible weapon on its own, it really shines when using either a Flame Art Ash of War (Faith builds) or with a Fire Ash of War (Strength builds). Both are viable but the Faith build technically does more damage. Combined with the Flame, Grant me Strength, Fire Scorpion Charm, and other flame damage buffs, the damage output can reach staggering levels.

The Fire Knight's Greatsword can be upgraded using Smithing Stones to +25, and can benefit from spell-based or consumable weapon buffs.

Fire Knight's Greatsword Weapon Skill: Stamp (Upward Cut)

The Fire Knight's Greatsword Ash of War is Stamp (Upward Cut) Skill, which can (and should) be changed. The best thing about the Fire Knight's Greatsword is that it can be customized to fit your build using different Ashes of War. The very first thing players should do with this weapon is change the AoW to change the affinity of the weapon.

This weapon skill costs 5 FP to cast, and can be chained into a follow-up attack. This follow-up attack costs 8 FP, and sends enemies flying upward with an uppercut.

Brace armament and step into a low stance that prevents recoil from most enemy attacks. Follow up with a strong attack for an upward strike.

Where To Find Fire Knight's Greatsword Location

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Fire Knight's Greatsword is dropped by Greatsword-wielding Fire Knights found in the Shadow Keep. This is not a guaranteed drop and requires farming these enemies to get a chance to obtain them.

The best location to farm for the Fire Knight's Greatsword is to repeatedly kill the Fire Knight standing guard outside the Storehouse near the Shadow Militiamen (the one before Messmer doesn’t respawn). The recommended method is to unlock the shortcut from the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace (where you fight the Golden Hippo), which leads directly to the Fire Knight. You can do so by taking the staircase opposite the Fire Knight and opening the door leading back to the boss arena protected by the Shadow Militiamen. Once the shortcut is available, rest at the Site of Grace, run past the Shadow Militiamen (they won't follow you if you hug the left wall), and kill the Fire Knight repeatedly until it drops the Fire Knight's Greatsword.

An alternative method is to use the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace as a starting point and use the elevator to reach the Fire Knight. This method can take longer than the one mentioned above if you forget to send the elevator back before every attempt.

If you're having trouble getting the weapon to drop, consider using a Silver Tear Mask, Silver Scarab Talisman, or an Arcane build to boost item drop rate (Discovery).
