Three Elden Ring players make a rather grave mistake when attempting to rush a PvP invader. PvP has been a part of not just Elden Ring, but plenty of FromSoftware's titles for quite some time, and is expected to remain for its future titles. While entering another person's world can sometimes be a scary experience, like when one invader found themselves surrounded by cultists, for other Elden Ring players, nothing can be more dreaded than finding out that an invader has entered one's world. However, one must not be too hasty when this happens, as it could end up leading to a player's downfall.

PvP is as much about advantages and disadvantages as it is about the player's skill. In many FromSoftware games, the areas that players traverse are quite important when someone decides to invade, either for the host or the invader. One could find the highest ground and try to pick off the other with either ranged weaponry or magic, while others might take a more clever approach, like setting up a perfect hiding spot in the Lake of Rot for an ambush. However, in Elden Ring, there is a certain advantage that an invader has as soon as they enter another person's world.

This advantage can be seen in the clip where three Elden Ring players made a grave error in their decisions when a player invaded. Posting to r/Eldenring, user Double-Earth3481 uploaded a clip of a moment where they just entered a host's world, coincidentally just as the host and their two player companions come across them. As soon as they lay their sights on the invader, they surround them and begin to attack, yet none of the attacks damage the invader. Then, the invader wastes no time in starting their own attack, killing all three of them in less than 10 seconds.

What the host and their friends didn't keep in mind is the fact that invaders have a few seconds of invincibility frames just as they are entering the world, hence why their attacks did no damage. The invader took this advantage and killed them all, all without much harm to themselves. Especially in PvP, many players should be careful with how they play, for they could be playing right into the invader's hands, like when one Elden Ring invader turned themselves into a living furnace.

Care is of the utmost importance when engaging in Elden Ring's PvP, for both the invader and the host. Too many times has a mistake been made in a PvP battle which ends in a swift defeat, like one Elden Ring player utilizing their opponent's Rotten Breath spam to kill them. Keep in mind the advantages one may have on their side, and PvP may be a little bit easier to manage.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
