A new video showcases an ambitious Elden Ring mod that crossovers FromSoftware's open world epic with the open world Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Elden Ring has proven to be a massive success for FromSoftware since it launched earlier this year, with modders helping keep fans engaged by creating various mods for the game. There have been many Elden Ring mods, but the game has also gotten official content updates as well. In fact, Elden Ring added PvP DLC just recently that finally opened up the colosseums in the Lands Between. Rumor has it that more extensive Elden Ring DLC expansions are on the way as well, though nothing official on that front has been announced by FromSoftware. While fans wait patiently for more official post-launch content, they can count on modders to continue producing unofficial content for the game. This would include the recently-revealed Pokemon mod that turns Elden Ring into a large-scale Pokemon-themed adventure. The mod makes the Tarnished look like a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainer, while Torrent is swapped for legendary Pokemon Koraidon. Various Elden Ring enemies are also swapped out for various Paldea region Pokemon, with players coming up against everything from popular Normal-type Pokemon Lechonk to Fuecoco's intimidating final evolution, the Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon Skeledirge. The mod even puts Elden Ring's walking mausoleums to good use, putting Pokemon Centers on top of them.
Unfortunately, it does not appear as though this Elden Ring Pokemon mod is currently available for download. And since Nintendo is usually pretty aggressive with protecting its IP, chances are it would get pulled down before too long. Luckily, there are many other Elden Ring mods for fans of FromSoftware's open world game to check out, even though most won't measure up to the sheer scale of this Pokemon one.
Arestame, the modder who created this particular Elden Ring mod, has also created other mods for the game that have similarly been shown off in videos like this. Not long after The Game Awards incident where someone stormed the stage during Elden Ring's Game of the Year acceptance speech and mentioned Bill Clinton, Arestame created a mod that added the former US president to the game. The Elden Ring Bill Clinton mod is one of the strangest mods that have been created for the game, but it's really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to its extensive suite of mods.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
