The strength of Elden Ring's magic builds puts itself on display as a player is able to take out an invader using only Glintstone Scraps, a magic item. There are plenty of builds to use in Elden Ring, plenty of which have viability to use against the many trials and tribulations that the game has to throw at the player. While the more popular builds are the greatsword, bleed, and faith builds, even finding power in sorcery, and the consumables that scale with intelligence, can make a pile of pebbles powerful in the right person's hands.

Yet, that is what one player managed to do in PVP against an invader. Reddit user Erikajodeikaite posted a video to r/Eldenring of them going up against an invader in what appears to be the swamp areas that game director Hidetaka Miyazaki just can't help putting in games like Elden Ring. In the video, the invader is attempting to advance upon the player, only to be pelted, again and again, by flying Glintstone Scraps, until they are overwhelmed by the scraps and try to retreat. However, the bridge in the swamp areas doesn't have much for cover, and the invader quickly succumbs to the onslaught of pebbles.

The video then gives a replay of the attack, showing the beauty of the luminescent kill in slow-motion. What it shows is that, even when the invader manages to approach the player, the Glintstone Scraps keep them staggered enough that they can't attack. It's already too late when they try to turn back. As evident by the video, the PVP player isn't as experienced as those who find the perfect hiding spots in Elden Ring to ambush their victims, but their determination is to be admired for how many rocks pelted them, and yet they still advanced.

This is yet again a fantastic showcase of the versatility in the usage of builds in Elden Ring, a game where even someone with a low intelligence stat can find success in a magic build. No matter what the player tries, there's certain to be a degree of success as long as effort is put into it, and never to give up even when things get tough, a staple of FromSoftware games. Even utilizing only consumables can lead to a successful run of the famously difficult game.
