Player interactions in Elden Ring can transpire in many ways, as the game allows its users to either team up or combat one another. Through the online community, players can run into a wide array of other characters that can prove to be either an ally or a challenge for them. With the inclusion of the Colosseums in Elden Ring, there's always a PvP trial to overcome in the Lands Between. While players may not expect attacks to result in a one-shot execution, one player has gone out of their way to change that, standing out from other opponents.

This Elden Ring Player's First Invasion Experience Could Not Have Been Any Funnier

While there have been plenty of funny Elden Ring invasion experiences, there is one player whose first invasion experience turned out hilarious.

To demonstrate their unique approach to Elden Ring's online battles, Reddit user Esbidee posted a humorous video of their unique way of playing. Their idea is to become an intended one-hit target for their opponents in Elden Ring, all to give "hosts the satisfaction of unexpectedly hitting over 2,000 damage on an invader." Captioned simply with "It's an acquired taste," the video, backed by Yello's "Oh Yeah" track from 1985, highlights a sequence of deliberate deaths before moving onto an invasion that features Patches from the game. Esbidee applies several items containing debuffs to make themselves extremely vulnerable, including Crimson Tear Scarab, Radagon's Soreseal, Windy Crystal Tear, and more. From there, they walk into battle purely to sacrifice themselves for the sake of entertainment.

The video's runtime is six minutes and 10 seconds, and the clips have been assembled in a comical fashion to coincide with the song from Yello. Several comments pertained to the comedic nature of the video, while some pointed out a distinct cutscene near the end of the footage. This moment occurs when the video appears to cut to black, only for Esbidee to initiate another invasion. Once they enter another player's world, they eventually find themselves getting kicked off a cliff by Patches, one of the many NPCs in Elden Ring.

Charging into battle that involves other players comes with the caveat that anything can happen in combat, which has resulted in many unsuspecting moments in Elden Ring that keep the gameplay fresh. Esbidee's video shows that some of the best online encounters are built around delivering a few laughs.
