Elden Ring Nightreign is a fast-paced rogue-like title that puts players on a timer to prepare themselves during the day to fight a powerful boss by night. Due to the verticality of the Limveld's map, players receive two new types of movement abilities: Surge Sprinting and Wall Climbing. By combining these abilities, players can dash as fast as the Spirit Steed Torrent and scale the tallest cliffs with ease. Here's how these new abilities work.
Elden Ring Nightreign: All Characters & Unlocks
Elden Ring Nightreign features many characters with their unique playstyle and abilities, and some can be unlocked later, here's a list of them all.
How to Surge Sprint in Elden Ring Nightreign
Surge Sprinting is an enhanced version of the regular dash ability that increases the player's mobility and allows them to cover great distances with speed in Elden Ring Nightreign. It's also a great tool in combat if used right, as you'll be able to escape AOE attacks from enemies or position yourself at an advantageous point.
However, Surge Sprint is a double-edged sword, as it quickly depletes stamina if used in combat. So, it's recommended that players use a combination of regular dashing and surge sprinting in combat to optimize stamina usage. Otherwise, there won't be any left to land hits on the enemies.
Here's how to use the Dash and Surge Sprint in ER Nightreign.

How to Wall Climb in Nightreign
Wall jumping is another new mobility skill added to Elden Ring Nightreign that makes traversing vertical levels easier and quicker. Players will need to simply approach either an easily climbable ledge or a vertical surface lined with tombstones. Make sure to jump towards an easy-to-reach area, so the character can easily ledge grab and vault it.
The mechanic can be a little weird at times, as it sometimes lets you scale walls, and sometimes the character refuses to grab the ledge. So, you'll need to do some practice before mastering this new traversal mechanic in Nightreign.
