Some Xbox Series X/S players are still having connection issues while trying to play Elden Ring Nightreign, despite a recent update. While Elden Ring Nightreign was undeniably a huge hit, it seems that the experience of Xbox Series X/S players was less than optimal, and it’s not getting better for some people.
Released late in May, Elden Ring Nightreign was FromSoftware’s attempt to bring the Elden Ring franchise to new horizons, creating a new roguelike co-op game set in the popular universe, and the title has been met with positive reviews so far. Most reviewers have praised Elden Ring Nightreign as being a good fit for Soulslike fans, merging FromSoftware’s classic design with a roguelike structure, and the title currently holds an average critic score of 80 on OpenCritic. However, Xbox Series X/S fans have faced frequent connection issues since the game launched.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Hardest Nightlords Tier List
The hardest Nightlords in Elden Ring Nightreign present a significantly higher challenge, and more mechanics, than the easiest bosses in the game.
Now, even after FromSoftware has released the new 1.01.1 update for Elden Ring Nightreign, multiple gamers still seem to be finding issues when playing the title on Xbox Series X/S. According to some social media posts, gamers have already installed the new patch and are still unable to play the game, failing to both host and join online sessions in some cases. Others have reported that they’re able to play with random matchmaking but can't invite their friends. The number of gamers still affected by this issue is unknown, though, as is the timeline for these problems to finally be solved. The latest Elden Ring Nightreign patch has also made several adjustments to the game’s balance and fixed multiple bugs, improving the overall experience on all platforms.
Xbox Gamers Are Still Struggling to Play Elden Ring Nightreign
Some of the problems addressed by the recent updates have led many gamers to refund Elden Ring Nightreign. Aside from some gamers who simply didn’t click with FromSoftware’s latest release, many others suffered from issues such as frequent disconnection during online play or performance problems.
Despite these troubles, it’s fair to say that Elden Ring Nightreign has been a huge hit, as the game sold over 2 million copies in less than a day, an impressive number that is very rare to reach in such a quick timeframe. While it’s likely that Elden Ring’s tremendous popularity may have been the reason for many of these sales, Nightreign generally did well with most gamers and reviewers, despite a significant number of players claiming that the title is “too hard” or “unbalanced.”
