Summary

  • Dawn skin costs 14,000 murk and symbolizes a fresh start, but may not be worth it early on.
  • Spellsword set at 7,500 murk offers Dark Souls 3 vibes and value, fitting for Ironeye.
  • Darkness skin for 35,000 murk is pricey but epitomizes power and a cool aesthetic for a Nightfarer.

If there is one thing that Elden Ring players love more than slaying a few bosses, it's looking cool while doing it. Appearance has always been a big part of any FromSoftware game, and in Elden Ring Nightreign, the trend continues, allowing players to equip various skins that alter the appearance of their character across both the gameplay and the cutscenes.

Elden Ring Nightreign: Best Relics And Relic Effects For Ironeye

In Elden Ring Nightreign, players should keep their eyes peeled for the following relics for Ironeye.

1

Ironeye, like any other Nightfarer, has five unlockable skins that each have their own unique style, some serving as pieces of lore, and others as callbacks to armor sets from previous FromSoftware games. But not all skins are made equally, and while it is all up to interpretation, there are a few skins that stand out above the others in their quality and awesomeness.

5 Dawn

Not Quite Robin Hood, But Close Enough

Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Dawn
  • Cost: 14,000 Murk
  • How to unlock: Complete two expeditions.

The Dawn skin is one of the first options that players are given after they triumph over their second Nightlord, but unfortunately, the reward isn't exactly the most appealing. A yellowy-brown coloring across the body, with a traditional bycocket hat, the silhouette looks pretty cool overall, but with a steep price of 14,000 murk, it can be hard to justify buying it so early on.

The currency used to buy the skins is the same one players will have been using for relics in the jar shop, and by the time they have unlocked the ability to swap skins, they might have just enough to afford this skin. However, if players are on the fence and unsure whether it's the best investment of their hard-earned cash, they should consider that down the line there will be much better skins available, at nearly half the price, so it might both worth holding out a bit and sticking it out with the base skin until that point.

4 Spellsword

A Nice Callback And A Nice Reskin Overall

Elden Ring Nightreign Sellsword
  • Cost: 7,500 Murk
  • How to unlock: Complete the final expedition.

The Spellsword set is a pretty nice upgrade to Ironeye's traditional look, bringing in a lot more darkness and mystery to a character that was already cloaked from the start. The skin resembles the Drang set from Dark Souls 3, a light armor option for players who wanted to stay mobile and still have some nice defenses.

At just 7,500, it will only take a few expeditions to pick this one up and is for sure worth investing in. It might not have been the most iconic set to bring back from a previous game, but it is still nice to be able to relive a small part of an iconic game, especially for fans of the Souls franchise who have continued to follow the series all the way up until this point.

3 Remembrance

A Haunting Reminder Of The Larger Story

Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye remembrance outfit
  • Cost: 0
  • How to unlock: complete Ironeye's final remembrance

The remembrance quests are one of the more interesting aspects of Nightreign, bringing in snippets of lore for each individual character for players to piece together a larger overarching narrative. Ironeye's story is both tragic and chilling, and the reward for completing it is a bloodstained version of his base skin, as a way of remembering the actions the player had to make.

The skin itself costs nothing but a bit of time spent running around the Roundtable Hold and ticking off the quests. Once players manage to take down the final expedition, they will be granted the skin for free for completing the Remembrance and taking down the fearsome foe. It might not be the flashiest skin in the world, but it is a nice little bonus for those who stick it out and follow the narrative through to the end.

2 Ringfinger

Friendship From Long Ago

Elden Ring Nightreign Ringfinger
  • Cost: 7,500 Murk
  • How to unlock: Complete the final expedition.

The Ringfinger set serves as yet another return to Dark Souls 3, bringing back Leonhard's set with the same iconic hat and mask as before. Ringfinger Leonhard is one of the first characters that players will meet in DS3, so it is super cool to see this set once again as a homage to a character that so many players will have crossed paths with over the years.

Elden Ring Nightreign: 8 Best Things To Do On Day 2

Day two is arguably the most critical part of Elden Ring Nightreign. Here's what players should be doing in this important period.

Despite how cool it looks and the significance in the universe, it only costs 7,500 murk, which is quite frankly a steal for the level of quality it brings. Being able to carry forward the character's memory all the way into the perilous fights against the Lords is a great way of remembering the character and his questline, which, as many fans know, ended rather poorly for dear old Leonhard.

1 Darkness

The Best An Archer Can Look

Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Darkness
  • Cost: 35,000 Murk
  • How to unlock: Complete two expeditions.

Every Nightfarer has access to the same two skinlines, one for Dawn and one for Darkness, and the latter is one of the coolest options that players can choose from. For Ironeye, it drapes him in a dark hood and wraps his body with a black garb that is a stark contrast to the vibrant green that he is known for. The whole skin just brings so much aura to a fight, and if a player ever sees an Ironeye rocking this skin, they know they are in for a wild ride.

For a skin so cool, it makes sense why it costs as much as it does. 35,000 murk is a very steep price for a single skin, and even after many expeditions, players might have a hard time affording this one purchase. However, it is the most expensive skin for each character, so for any Ironeye mains out there that really want to look their best, saving up a few extra bits of murk can give them the best skin available, and allow them to switch it out to another one after just a few trips to Limveld.
