Gamers and film buffs recently got some exciting news with A24's Elden Ring movie. For the past three years, FromSoftware's action fantasy tale has continued to draw in new players with its beautifully challenging world. As Elden Ring continues to grow and bleed over into different areas of pop culture, A24's film adaptation is an exciting development.

From Sir Gideon Ofnir to Godfrey, there are a lot of characters in Elden Ring that present a fun challenge for the project's casting director. Because Elden Ring is so beloved, casting such a celebrated game is bound to be difficult, especially when it comes to Miquella. Although male, Miquella's appearance is incredibly feminine. So, when it comes to casting, a female or non-binary actor may be the best choice to accurately portray the character.

Morgott, the reclusive lord of Leyndell, could be a difficult role to cast in the Elden Rng movie, but there are a few who could do a great job.

Actors Who Could Play Miquella in A24's Elden Ring Movie

Elle Fanning

With her pale skin and long blonde hair, Elle Fanning could easily be imagined in the role of Miquella. Over the years, Elle Fanning has grown into one of the film industry's strongest young actors, as she boasts an impressive resume that also showcases a solid range. Notable roles in The Neon Demon and The Great have put her skills front and center, while the upcoming Predator: Badlands promises even more interesting performances from her.

Elle Fanning will be in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. A24 is also planning to bring a Death Stranding movie to life with the help of Kojima Productions.

Emma Corrin

Within the past decade, Emma Corrin has built an impressive resume, quickly becoming one of the most compelling actors on the rise. The Crown, My Policeman, Deapool & Wolverine, Nosferatu, and the most recent season of Black Mirror demonstrate just how far they have come in less than 10 years. Their role in Nosferatu, specifically, makes the best case for being cast as Miquella in Elden Ring. In one of Nosferatu's more horrifying, standout scenes, Corrin's costume showcases long blonde hair and a white gown that's very reminiscent of Miquella. The events that unfold in this specific scene are shocking, as Count Orlok breaks into the Hardings' home, and Corrin's emotional performance is a highlight of the film.

Morfydd Clark

The majority of the actors on this list share the traits of blonde hair and pale skin, but Morfydd Clark may share the most resemblance to Miquella overall. Right now, her most notable role has been Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, but beyond that, she could have a much larger career waiting on the horizon. She is also one of the least known on the list, so it would be exciting to see her get the opportunity to have a bigger spotlight.

Hunter Schafer

Hunter Schafer is no stranger to being fan-cast in live-action video game adaptations. After the live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda was announced, many fans immediately mentioned Schafer as the perfect choice for Zelda. In an interview with Variety, Schafer responded, "I love the game, personally. I played it as a kid and I still play it now. Who knows! That would be pretty cool." It's easy to imagine Schafer as Zelda, but if she isn't cast in that project, she could be just as good of a fit for Miquella.

The Legend of Zelda movie is expected to arrive in 2027.

Right now, there's no telling how long the wait for the Elden Ring movie will be, but once A24 has a cast locked in, it will be thrilling to see which actors are chosen to bring FromSoftware's world to life. Adapting video games into live-action is no easy task, but with A24's knack for compelling stories and Alex Garland's talent as a director, the Elden Ring movie holds a lot of promise.
