Seán William McLoughlin, better known by his online moniker Jacksepticeye, lost out on a rare Elden Ring poster to Ludwig Anders Ahgren, after the latter launched a sneaky last-minute bid. The valuable Elden Ring collectible was one of the items featured at a recently concluded charity auction.
The benefit sale in question was organized by Welsh Twitch streamer Connor "CDawgVA" Marc Colquhoun. As part of the effort, anyone was able to bid for a number of distinct items in mid-July 2024 via fundraising platform Tiltify. All proceeds generated from the sale were earmarked for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). One of the 16 items offered as part of the auction was an Elden Ring poster of Malenia signed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game's director and president of FromSoftware.

Ludwig Wins Elden Ring Poster Bid While Jacksepticeye Is Sleeping
Irish YouTuber Jacksepticeye started bidding for the collectible on June 12, with his first offer amounting to over $2,000. A few dozen counteroffers were launched over the following week, with the content creator outbidding every single one of them. His longest-lasting bid for the signed Elden Ring poster amounted to $15,000 and stayed in the lead for two days straight. Ludwig was already in competition for the item by that time, and ultimately came out on top with a $21,000 winning bid on July 19. Taking to Twitter, Jacksepticeye revealed that he lost out on this valuable piece of merch because he was sleeping.
While the YouTube star initially appeared frustrated with this turn of events, he ultimately accepted his loss in good spirits. "Better watch out while YOU'RE sleeping," he jokingly tweeted to Ludwig. His American colleague later took to Twitter himself to explain how getting his hands on the valuable collectible was as simple as having $21,000 and "scamming a sleeping Irishman" during a charity auction.
Ludwig posted a picture of CDawgVA handing him the signed Elden Ring poster in order to publicly seal his victory. Imane "Pokimane" Anys is also seen in the background of the photo, peeking out from behind the framed piece of merch. She herself supported the benefit sale as well by auctioning off her time. Specifically, a gaming session with Pokimane was sold for over $30,000 as part of the fundraising initiative.
Ludwig hasn't yet shared what he intends to do with his latest purchase. While reflecting on this turn of events, Jacksepticeye revealed that his plan was to let CDawgVA raffle off the signed Elden Ring poster to one of his viewers. The charity auction raised $168,600 in total, with Pokimane's gaming session being its single most valuable sale.
