An Elden Ring fan has created a giant cutout of FromSoftware Inc. President Hidetaka Miyazaki. The cutout itself is enormous, with the creator claiming that it's over twenty feet tall. It is easily one of the more unusual tributes to Elden Ring to grace the internet.

Last year, Elden Ring hit store shelves and digital retailers across the world. The game was a massive hit for FromSoftware Inc. Having sold over 17 million copies worldwide as of this writing. Elden Ring also went on to win several Game of the Year awards, even beating out the number that The Last of Us Part 2 earned in 2020. Some fans, however, appear to have some issues with the game's most notable developer.

Over the years many fans have made their own tributes to the various FromSoftware games that range from innovative and creative to downright bizarre. One fan, for example, created a mod that inserted Pokemon into Elden Ring. In a recent post, Reddit user MeanForce1 created a giant cutout of Hidetaka Miyazaki. In the primary image, an Elden Ring health bar can be seen beneath the cutout, naming the cutout as Big Miyazaki. The typical Elden Ring player interface can be seen on the peripherals of the image as the user faces down the cutout with a katana.

Elden Ring Hidetaka Miyazaki

Hidetaka Miyazaki is best known for his work on FromSoftware's Soulsborne games and is generally credited as the genre's creator. As the story goes, Miyazaki was put in charge of Demon's Souls which, at that point, was considered a failed project by the company. While the game underperformed in Japan, it went on to become a modest success in the United States which eventually lead to the creation of Dark Souls. This, in turn, led to a whole new direction for the company and a fast rise for Miyazaki within it. Demon's Souls was eventually remade for the PlayStation 5 and contained numerous differences from the original PlayStation 3 version.

Despite its massive success, FromSoftware has yet to announce any DLC for Elden Ring, and it is not clear if it ever will. Last year the company surprised everyone when it announced that Armored Core 6 would be its next game and will likely be the company's focus for some time. However, when it comes to some Elden Rings fans, it's clear that they see Hidetaka Miyazaki as the biggest Soulsborne boss of them all.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
