An Elden Ring player with 765 hours in the game has managed to get one of their characters to max level in the game. Elden Ring features a leveling system similar to FromSoftware's Dark Souls games, except instead of players using souls to level up, they use runes.
When players have enough runes, they can visit a Site of Grace and spend them to improve their character's stats. Every level up in Elden Ring costs more than the one before it, and so reaching max level in the game requires a dizzying number of runes. Despite this, some Elden Ring players have put in the work and managed to hit max level in FromSoftware's open world epic, though it's not a big club at this point.
One of the latest people to hit max level in Elden Ring is Reddit user Fireman_Artsen, who shared their accomplishment on Reddit. The post garnered 11,000 upvotes, with many impressed by Fireman_Artsen's sheer dedication to the game. According to the Reddit user, they have 765 hours in Elden Ring total, but that is spread across multiple characters. They have "almost" 500 hours in the character that they used to reach max level in the game.
What is the Max Level in Elden Ring?
Hitting max level in Elden Ring means getting to level 713, which costs 1,692,558,415 runes in total. To accomplish this, Fireman_Artsen beat the game enough times to get to New Game+ 8, while also doing plenty of co-op and rune farming. There are many ways that players can farm runes in Elden Ring, but even the most effective methods would require a significant time investment from anyone wanting to hit max level in the game.
It's possible FromSoftware will increase the Elden Ring level cap with the new DLC, though that seems incredibly unlikely. After all, the vast, vast majority of Elden Ring players are probably nowhere near the level cap. One could unlock all the achievements and trophies in Elden Ring without even getting close to the cap, so raising the level cap for the DLC would benefit only a select few players.
Regardless, those that do hit the max level cap should be plenty prepared for the upcoming Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. Little is known about the Elden Ring DLC except that it's supposedly coming later this year, so fans of FromSoftware's open world epic should soon have more challenges to conquer and areas to explore.
Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
