Summary

  • Sorceries and Incantations in Elden Ring are very powerful, making spellcasting builds highly effective.
  • The Infinite Incantation build allows players to defeat enemies easily and explore Incantations.
  • The Discus of Light Incantation, when used with this build, can deal high damage and has special bonuses.

In general, the accessibility and effectiveness of Sorceries and Incantations in Elden Ring make spellcasting builds quite overpowered. Consequently, an Incantation build that can infinitely cast spells will allow players to defeat even the peskiest enemies in Elden Ring with ease.

With the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, new and returning players may be looking for a new build to use in this expansion. One such build that’s worth trying, especially for players who want to explore Incantations, is this infinite Incantation build.

Golden Order Infinite Incantation Build

While players can obtain all the required items and the minimum skill attributes for this build on their first playthrough, some of the items can only be found in mid and late-game areas. However, on the plus side, as long as players continuously level up their Elden Ring weapon-scaling stat attributes to improve the Golden Order Seal’s Incantation damage, this build can still one-shot enemies even on subsequent playthroughs.

Discus of Light was previously among some of the weakest spells in the game, but this build allows this Incantation to compete with some of the strongest offensive Incantations without relying on any temporary or consumable buffs. While any Incantation can deal high damage with enough investment, the Discus of Light Incantation has a few special bonuses that make it particularly strong. Specifically, very few enemies in the game have a high resistance to Holy damage aside from bosses in Elden Ring. Additionally, this Incantation has a special projectile path that attacks enemies from the front and from behind. This allows a single cast of the Incantation to potentially strike enemies twice, and it's also an effective way to strike enemies that use shields.

Although using the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Flask of Wondrous Physick will grant players a temporary period of infinite FP for spellcasting, this build can grant players a permanent period of infinite FP. For this build to work, players will need to upgrade the Golden Order Seal and have a high enough Faith skill for the Discus of Light Incantation to consistently kill enemies with a single cast. Consequently, this build isn’t effective during boss battles or in Elden Ring’s PvP because players won't be able to infinitely cast this Incantation without getting kills.

How To Use The Infinite Incantation Build In Elden Ring

The optimal way to use this build in Elden Ring is to aim the Incantation so that it will hit an enemy twice in a single cast since this will almost double its damage without expending any additional FP. Also, hitting multiple enemies in a single cast is a recommended strategy.

Although this build is weak against bosses, using this build leaves a lot of open inventory slots for players to equip an off-hand weapon, armor, and Flask of Wondrous Physick buffs of their choice to make up for this build’s weakness against bosses. With this build’s existing foundation and buffs related to Incantations, players can lean into this strength and combine this build with other Incantations in Elden Ring. Otherwise, players can mix and match this build with any preferred weaponry that will help to defeat bosses.

In the worst-case scenario, when fighting bosses or other enemies that can survive a single cast of this Incantation, this spell can be rapidly cast to output a significant amount of damage in a short window of time. This will void the “infinite” nature of this spellcasting build, but players can still replenish their FP later after emergency moments like this.
