Elden Ring: Ripple Blade Location Guide

Elden Ring - Pidia Carian Servant location

The Ripple Blade is an axe-type weapon sold by Pidia, an NPC merchant located inside Caria Manor. Pidia, a first-generation Albinauric, serves the Carian family as a servant. You can find her on the second floor of the room with the Manor Lower Level site of grace. However, reaching Pidia requires defeating the Royal Knight Loretta boss.

After defeating the Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor, players gain access to the Three Sisters area located to the manor’s west. From the Royal Moongazing Grounds site of grace, head west and then southwest along the cliff's edge. Near the cliff, you'll find a Cerulean (blue) Scarab. Jump down to the roof of the building on the east side of the cliff, then carefully descend using wooden ramps to reach a ladder leading down to Pidia.

Speak with Pidia to unlock her shop. She offers various useful items, including the Carian Retaliation skill, a Larval Tear, a Ritual Pot, and the Ripple Blade, which you can purchase for 3,500 runes.

If you've progressed Ranni’s questline to the point where Preceptor Seluvis is found dead in his tower, Pidia will meet her demise at the hands of Seluvis’ puppets. You will hear her dying screams upon approaching her location. Don’t worry, as you can still buy the Ripple Blade. Just pick up Pidia’s bell bearing from her body and give it to the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold to unlock her trades.

Is Ripple Blade Worth Using?

The Ripple Blade proves to be a valuable weapon for Arcane builds focused on utilizing weapon buffs like greases. At near-max level, this axe achieves an S scaling in Arcane. Given that status effect build-ups scale with the Arcane stat, players can effectively utilize Poison, Blood, and Sporadic greases to achieve significant build-ups. However, other greases won't benefit from the S scaling of the Ripple Blade.

Unfortunately, the Ripple Blade loses its effectiveness outside of Arcane builds, as it exclusively scales with the Arcane stat. Additionally, its fixed weapon skill, Wild Strikes, limits versatility. Players seeking to incorporate different elemental damage types into the Ripple Blade will need to rely on greases or cast weapon buffs like the Bloodflame Blade or Frozen Armament.
