To find Thorned Whip in Elden Ring, players must travel to Giants' Mountaintop and defeat one of the Fire Prelates. You can find the enemy northwest of Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs, near a long stone bridge lying across a deep, snowy gorge. However, players should start on the other side to get to the target safely. Take Ancient Snow Valley Ruins as a starting point, head southwest along the mountain ridge, and then cross the narrow bridge. Once you reach the other side of the bridge, you will encounter the enemy you are looking for.

It's worth noting that defeating this Fire Prelate guarantees a small number of Runes. As for Thorned Whip, the chance of a successful drop is only 4%. It means players with low Discovery will have to visit this place more than once. However, you can increase your chances of success by doing the following:

A significant investment of points into Arcane Attribute increases the chance of receiving a rare drop.
Using Silver Scarab Talisman increases the Item Discovery stat by 75.
Players can also use a consumable item called Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot. Eating this will increase your Discovery +50 for 3 minutes, so you'll want to eat it right before the Fire Prelate fight.
