One Elden Ring gamer saw a strange bug that made a dragon disappear. Elden Ring is a massive game with a captivating story woven around many notable characters like Ranni, Melina, and Marika. In addition, the FromSoftware title is known for its enjoyable gameplay and the enormous open world that rewards players who explore it. As many expected, Elden Ring won the Game of The Year award, along with the awards for Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction.
Despite the widespread acclaim, Elden Ring is no exception when it comes to random glitches. Elden Ring glitches are rare, but they happen, as evidenced by countless players who have seen some odd bugs in their playthroughs. One such Elden Ring glitch gave super speed to Godfrey, whereas others make enemies invisible. Now, another Elden Ring player has witnessed a strange glitch that makes an entire dragon disappear.
Reddit user Les_Waste uploaded a video showing their face off with a formidable dragon in the Crumbling Farum Azula region of Elden Ring, near the Dragon Temple Rooftop site of grace. This particular dragon has powerful lightning attacks that deal tremendous damage, causing Elden Ring players to always be on their toes. The user avoids the oncoming assaults and counterattacks with the Ancient Lighting Spear, the default skill of Bolt of Gransax. However, something unexpected happened when the lightning strike hit the dragon.
As soon as the lightning struck the dragon, it suddenly disappeared without a trace, leaving Les_Waste clueless and confused. The user anticipated a fierce battle but had to be content with a vanishing dragon in Elden Ring. It should be noted that the aforementioned dragon guards a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, a crucial upgrade material in Elden Ring. Furthermore, killing the dragon yields another Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, but the original poster couldn't get this one. Elden Ring players can use this particular item to upgrade their special weapons like Hand of Malenia, Bloodhound's Fang, and Bolt of Gransax to +10.
Elden Ring players will come across many other dragons in Crumbling Farum Azula, which is believed to be their capital city. These dragons deal lightning damage and are slightly different from other variants found in regions like Mountaintops of the Giants or Liurnia of The Lakes. Dragons found in Crumbling Farum Azula have four wings and are ancestors of modern dragons. Elden Ring's lore suggests the ancient dragons once attacked the capital city of Leyndell and were the rulers of The Lands Between before the age of the Erdtree.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
