Fringefolk Hero's Grave is one of the first dungeons players can get into in Elden Ring. For starting players, the Grave has a brutal difficulty they don't want to taste, although greatly rewarding. However, while brutality is known in Elden Ring, it's still better to level up first and explore the surrounding area.
Similar to many dungeons and Catacombs in Elden Ring, Fringefolk Hero's Grave is filled with hidden pathways. To navigate it, players should deeply explore each Route within the grave while trying to avoid the moving chariot.
Fringefolk Hero's Grave Location In Elden Ring
Fringefolk Hero's Grave is located west of Limgrave in Elden Ring. The Dungeon is within another Dungeon, where players start their journey in the Lands Between.
Next to the Stranded Graveyard Site of Lost Grace, there's a foggy door that leads to the Fringefolk Hero's Grave. To remove the fog, players have to use two Stonesword Keys.
Tarnished can get those keys throughout their journey or buy them from merchants, such as the Twin Maiden Husks, stationed in the Elden Ring Roundtable Hold.
After the fog is gone, jump down and walk through a small poisonous field before getting greeted with an annoying piece of machinery --avoid it at all costs.
What's Inside The Fringefolk Hero's Grave In Elden Ring
Moving inside the Fringefolk Hero's Grave, tarnished have to walk carefully throughout its only road, finding shelter from the chariot.
When reaching the first crossroads, choosing left leads to the boss chamber while choosing to go right leads to a single item.
The Fringefolk Hero's Grave boss is the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Elden Ring. It's a vicious serpent-like enemy that is constantly on the offensive side. Players diving into the grave unleveled will definitely have issues dealing with this boss fight. Upon winning, players will be rewarded with 15,000 Runes and
Banished Knight Oleg Ashes.
Going right, tarnished can find the Dragon Communion Seal. It's an Elden Ring Seal that boosts Dragon Incantations and mainly scales with Arcane. The Seal can be a valuable item for Faith or/and Arcane builds.
Inside the Fringefolk Hero's Grave, many hidden routes lead players to more discoveries. One of them is when the tarnished reach the first bridge. Jump down from either side to a small cliff to reach a hidden area within the grave.
Move forward and avoid the fire by going inside a hole in the right wall then hit the firing mechanism to close it.
After closing the mechanism, move forward until reaching an open area. Take the bridge to trigger an ambush of two Grafted Scions, one in front and one from behind.
Defeat them and claim the Erdtree's Favor, a Talisman that raises HP, Stamina, and Equip Load.
Trace back to the start of the bridge and jump down twice to reach an open empty area.
After jumping back the second time, look west and move through the only open passage. There's a lift there that takes players to the starting road where the chariot is moving around. Tarnished can then whip their bows out to destroy it.
The chariot will move in a pattern to stay next to the tarnished. Once it starts its pattern, players should aim at one of the three balls above it and hit it at the right time to destroy the chariot.
Destroying the annoying moving machinery will reward players with the Erdtree Greatbow and some Elden Ring Greatarrows.
