A new video posted online to celebrate hit fantasy soulslike Elden Ring shows off a series of fan art pieces made inside Media Molecule’s design and creation game Dreams. The impressive homage to FromSoftware’s smash hit action-RPG comes just days after Elden Ring won Game of the Year at the 2022 Game Awards.

The game responsible for countless all-night play sessions by millions of gamers worldwide throughout 2022, Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s latest entry into the soulslike genre it inspired. Carrying over the developer’s trademark punishing-but-fair combat to an open-world setting, Elden Ring became a massive critical and commercial success when it was released for PC and consoles earlier this year. Gamers drawing inspiration from the surreal and dreamlike world of the Lands Between have produced some incredible fan tributes since Elden Ring’s release, from intricate costumes to an impressive mixed media painting of Melania the Goddess of Rot, but these Dreams creations are some of the best yet.

In a post on r/Eldenring, Reddit user Martin Nebelong, who goes by the handle MartinDK3485, shared a video showing off several pieces of Elden Ring fan art he created using the PlayStation 5 version of Dreams. The short video, made to celebrate Elden Ring’s Game of the Year win, speeds through a timelapse of each scene’s creation before revealing the finished pieces. It is truly impressive what Nebelong was able to achieve using the building tools in Dreams, with the scenes on display looking like they were pulled straight out of Elden Ring. From towering castles to the gargantuan, luminous Erdtree, the sense of scale and level of detail in the creations is astounding.

Fans of Elden Ring responding to the post were blown away by the level of quality shown off in the Dreams homage, complimenting Nebelong on his impressive work. After asking for details on how the tribute came together, several users expressed surprise that everything from the art to the level geometry was created entirely within Dreams. Coming to Dreams from a background working on movies and video games, FromSoftware’s hit action RPG isn’t the only game Nebelong has paid homage to using Media Molecule’s powerful creation game. His comedic God of War tribute made in Dreams recently made a splash online after he shared it to celebrate the positive reviews for Kratos’ latest outing.

This Elden Ring tribute is an impressive testament to what fans can do with a little creativity, some free time, and the right set of tools. Dreams has proven to be a source for some incredible content since the game’s release in 2020, from fan art to a terrifying remake of the P.T. Demo, and creators like Nebelong continue to show just how powerful Media Molecule’s app can be.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
