The best place to start your hunt for the Carian Sovereignty is the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, which can be reached from the underground tunnel in the Moorth Ruins, and followed by crossing the two hanging bridges in Bonny Village.

Exit the Catherdral of Manus Metyr, and head a short distance to the north, and then turn northwest to descend the rocky slopes.

Now, continue riding all the way south, and past the pack of wolves, until you reach the edge of the cliff. Now, look to your southwest to find a small cave.

The cave is not deep, and its only purpose is to hide the Ash of War. Upon entering the cave, look for a flying Teardrop Scarab towards the cave's ceiling.

Use a ranged weapon or a skill to strike down the scarab, and kill it to acquire the Ash of War: Carian Sovereignty .

Carian Sovereignty: Skill passed down the Carian royal family. Transform blade into a magical greatsword and bring it down. Additional input follows up with a horizontal sweep. Charge either attack to enhance potency.

You can infuse the Carian Sovereignty Ash of War into the following weapon types:

  • Daggers
  • Straight Swords
  • Greatswords
  • Curved Swords
  • Curved Greatswords
  • Katanas
  • Twinblades
  • Thrusting Swords
  • Heavy Thrusting Swords

Choosing a magic affinity when infusing this Ash of War reduces the strength and dexterity scaling of the weapon, but increases its damage scaling with intelligence.

Upon casting the Carian Sovereignty skill, the Tarnished will pull the sword over their head, allowing for a large Carian greatsword to form, and then, follow it up with a slam to the ground. You can follow up the slam with a subsequent weapon skill input, which will cause the Tarnished to swing the greatsword in an circular arc around them.

Casting the Carian Sovereignty consumes 30FP, and the subsequent swing costs 12FP.
