- The Bug in Elden Ring's DLC raises debate on adding a boss replay feature, a widely requested aspect in Soulsborne games.
An extremely weird Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC bug is causing the final boss, Promised Consort Radahn, to die automatically and giving players 250k runes for free. The only caveat is that since the boss just dies without the player even fighting them, this means they will be locked out of fighting the boss until they start a new playthrough in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring's unforgiving difficulty always urges players to push the game's mechanics to the limit and discover unique ways to take down the bosses. For instance, after the initial Nerf, fans have found yet another way to make the Perfume Bottles overpowered in the Elden Ring DLC. The final boss in the DLC has been a nightmare for several players, with many terming it as the toughest boss in the history of Souls games. However, it seems like one player has made the boss a cakewalk.
Elden Ring Player Is Exploring The Lands Between as Queen Marika
An Elden Ring player models their Tarnished after the FromSoftware dark fantasy RPG's most important figure, Queen Marika the Eternal.
In a new post on the Elden Ring subreddit, user Super-Contribution-1 highlights a weird bug that players have been encountering in the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, giving them 250K runes for free. Apparently, players have a way to kill Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring without even fighting it. In order to pull it off, players will need to use the Furlcalling Finger Remedy for the fight against Leda and her allies. Once they have defeated that and take the elevator up to the final boss with their co-op summons, Promised Consort Radahn dies automatically.
Elden Ring Bug Brings Back Boss Replay Feature Debate
It is crucial to note that this only occurs when players use the summon before the Leda and her allies boss fight in Elden Ring and not Promised Consort Radahn himself. The only issue is that it will cause the boss to permanently die, which means players will not be able to fight it again. Fans have been highlighting this bug to make a compelling case for the fact that Elden Ring needs a feature that allows players to replay bosses.
The ability to replay bosses has been one of the most requested aspects in Soulsborne games. When Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice added it, it was widely acclaimed by the community. In fact, many think that a similar mechanic in the divisive Dark Souls 2 was also one of the best aspects of the game. Fans have encountered bugs in the past that allowed them to replay fights like Dragonlord Placidusax in Elden Ring, but it has never been an official feature. Whether FromSoftware adds this feature remains to be seen.
