After a disappointing game delay announcement, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco gave fans news of a Closed Network Test for their upcoming game, Elden Ring. Players won't have to wait long to try and get on the list to enter a new world of monsters and mayhem. In fact, fans can sign up for the Elden Ring Closed Network Test right now.
It isn't too difficult to sign up for the Elden Ring Closed Network Test. If players are successfully chosen for it, they will be emailed a voucher code for their preferred platform with which to download the test build of the game. That should be welcome news to any Elden Ring fan hearing about the delay.
Elden Ring fans can register for the Closed Network Test now. Elden Ring's Closed Network Test kicks off on November 12 and lasts through November 14 and will be conducted on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Fans interested in signing up have from today until registration ends on November 1.
The Closed Network Test form prompts users to select the platform they want to play Elden Ring on, then asks about experience with FromSoftware games before requiring the insertion of an email address. In addition, the registration page notes that servers will be only open across five different three-hour sessions, which may not be enough Elden Ring for some fans. Participants can expect the first session to go live on the morning of November 12 from 3am to 6am PT, followed by a second session that night from 7pm to 10pm PT. Session 3 opens midday from 11am to 2pm PT on November 13. The fourth and fifth test times will start in the morning and evening of Noverber 14, 3am to 6am PT and 7pm to 10pm PT, respectively.
While the dates and times have been made clear, all other details about the Closed Network Test are scarce, however it will feature the beginning sections of the game. Also, Elden Ring cross-play between console generations will be available during the test. So, players on PlayStation 5 will be able to play with PS4 players, and those on Xbox Series X will be able to play with fans on Xbox One.
The Elden Ring Closed Network Test will take up 7 GB of space. It’s always recommended to download the game ahead of time, if pre-loading is available.
Elden Ring will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on February 25, 2022.
