One Elden Ring player's attempt to kill a dual-wielding Banished Knight in Castle Sol ended up going hilariously wrong. The world of Elden Ring is chock-full of formidable enemies, such as humanoid Banished Knights that specialize in different weaponry and drop unique items after being killed. They are dangerous combatants who can catch players off guard and deal a certain amount of damage using their Greatsword. Early in the game, dual-wielding variants of Banished Knight are pretty annoying to defeat, as they constantly teleport during combat and wear heavy armor.

The Lands Between is brimming with terrifying creatures, some of which are recognizable animals that rule their own territory. As Elden Ring players progress through the game to become the Elden Lord, they will encounter a wide array of enemies, from demigods and albino Xenomorphs to giant Golems. The majority of these creatures are super aggressive and force players to dive into challenging battles. After facing them repeatedly, it will be easier to memorize their attack patterns and capitalize on their weaknesses.

One Elden Ring player, who goes by oldluke on Reddit, attempted to kill a Phantom Banished Knight with their ranged weapon, but it ended in a way they never expected. They launched a projectile at the enemy from the top of a snow-dusted cliff using a Jar Cannon and discovered this humanoid combatant has a ridiculous teleport range. The dual-wielding Banished Knight teleported behind oldluke and performed basic attacks to push them down the cliff. It's worth noting that this type of regular enemy is located in Elden Ring's Castle Sol, an optional dungeon players can find in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Dual-wielding variants of Banished Knights are considered one of the hardest regular enemies in Elden Ring due to their powerful attack combos and defensive capabilities. In addition to their healing ability, these well-trained sword users can teleport to surprise players in combat. They are faster than other versions and have an AoE attack that can be pretty hard to dodge at close range.

Luckily, one Elden Ring player discovered a trick to kill Banished Knights by manipulating their teleport ability. They climb to a high-up location in Castle Sol, bait the enemy by performing a weak spell, turn their back toward the edge, and wait until the Banished Knight teleports behind them. It will end up with the humanoid combatant falling from a high platform and dying instantly.
