Elden Ring features a wide range of craftable items, all of which are unlocked through the game's cookbook system. For just about every type of item – whether it be related to the Ancient Dragon Cult, or the Golden Order, or any other faction in Elden Ring – there is a good chance there will be a set of cookbooks to unlock that faction's items in Item Crafting. For magic users, one of the most useful sets of cookbooks is the collection of Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbooks. With eight volumes in total, this set offers the player some truly unique craftable items. This guide will show players how to get every Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook in Elden Ring, and list exactly what each cookbook unlocks.
From the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace, head southwest past the Church of Irith (Where you meet Thops, and get Erudition). Follow the main path as it turns and begins to head northwest. Along the main path, before you reach the Liurnia Lake Shore site of grace and the Nomadic Merchant, you'll encounter an enemy camp. Cookbook 1 is found on a dead body near a tent on the eastern side of the camp.
From the Liurnia Lake Shore site of grace, right along the water, head northwest along the clear corridor formed by the ruins. You'll eventually come to the Laskyar Ruins site of grace on the right. Just beyond that, cookbook 2 is found on a dead body up against a wall.
From the Laskyar Ruins site of grace, head east up past the Purified Ruins. At the top of the hill, make a left and head toward the tower. Cookbook 3 is on the second floor of the tower, in a chest.
From the Academy Gate Town site of grace, follow the line of the guidance of grace northwest to the second sunken church with a tower section. Cookbook 4 is found in a chest in the second tower.
From the Schoolhouse Classroom site of grace, which is along the main path through the academy, head south into the main hallway. At the top of the stairs, make a left and enter the small chamber to the east. When you enter the chamber, turn right, and Cookbook 5 will be in a chest behind the desk.
From the Main Caria Manor Gate site of grace, make a right turn immediately after entering the grounds. Follow the wall all the way until you see the entrance to a chamber at the top of a small set of stairs. Cookbook 6 is found on a dead body in the chamber.
Cookbook 8 is sold by
Pidia, Carian Servent
for 2500 runes. To reach Pidia, you'll need to defeat Loretta at the Royal Moongazing Grounds. Exit out of the grounds towards Ranni's tower, then turn left immediately after exiting. Ride along the cliff until you see a building below. Jump down to that building, make your way down the southern side, then enter the lower roof through the hole and ladder. Pidia will be on the balcony at the bottom of the ladder.
From the Inner Consecrated Snowfield site of grace, head east into the blizzard. When you are just southwest of
Albinauric Rise, you'll encounter a group of Graven Mages, the large, round enemies that release magic mist. Look for a group of three together. You'll find Cookbook 8 on a dead body at their center.
I know that co-op is a big thing in Elden Ring, but to me, it's always felt like it's designed to be a solitary adventure. I wouldn't necessarily say that playing with a friend detracts from the experience In fact, I think dungeons are enhanced by the chaos of co-op and PvP via invaders. However, completing the game without the help of other players ultimately makes it feel more satisfying once you get all the bosses and reach one of the endings.
How to Get Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 1 in Elden Ring
From the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace, head southwest past the Church of Irith, then northwest along the main path.
Head into the enemy camp along the path.

How to Get Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 2 in Elden Ring
Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 2 is found just steps beyond the Laskyar Ruins site of grace.
How to Get Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 6 in Elden Ring
Enter the front gate to Caria Manor (the location you need to get through to begin Ranni's quest in Elden Ring), and make an immediate right turn.
Walk all the way to the end of the courtyard, and you'll see the entrance to a room at the top of a small set of stairs.
Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 6 is found on a dead body in this small room.
How to get Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 7 in Elden Ring
After defeating
Royal Knight Loretta, the Royal Moongazing Grounds site of grace will become unlocked. This is your starting location.
Head out the exit as if you are riding for Ranni's Rise, but instead, head left and ride toward the cliffs.
Ride south along the cliffs until you see a rooftop you can jump down to.
Head to the southern edge of the rooftop and you should see two wooden platforms you can use to reach the lower rooftops.
There is a hole and a ladder in the lower rooftop that leads to a small balcony. Use the ladder.
You will find Pidia, one of Elden Ring's best hidden merchants. Purchase Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 7 from Pidia for 2500 runes.
Pidia will die at a certain point in the story, so you must arrive in a timely manner if you wish to purchase the cookbook from him. As long as you have not given Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade, or Slevius' potion, then you will be OK.
How to Get Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook 8 in Elden Ring
You want to reach a group of Graven Mages that gather southwest of the Albinauric RIse. The Inner Consecrated Snowfield site of grace is the best option.
From the site of grace, ride northeast into the fog. You'll begin to hear the sound of the Graven Mages (the large spherical enemies that emit magic mist. Sellen turns into one during her Elden Ring quest.)
Look for the cluster of three mages. The cookbook is found on a dead body in the center of the group.
