Crafted weapons are incredibly strong in Dying Light: The Beast, but you'll need to collect Manual Pages in order to upgrade their blueprints. You can find Beginner and Intermediate Manual Pages pretty early in Dying Light: The Beast if you know where to look, though.
You could upgrade blueprints in previous Dying Light games, but Manual Pages are a new resource introduced in The Beast. You'll also still need to collect other common crafting materials to upgrade your weapon blueprints, but Manual Pages are the main thing to watch out for since they're so scarce. Here are the best places to find Beginner and Intermediate Manual Pages in Dying Light: The Beast.
All Working Dying Light: The Beast Docket Codes (September 2025)

Where to Find Manual Pages in Dying Light: The Beast
Manual Pages can be obtained as quest rewards or looted from Dark Zones in Dying Light: The Beast. Most side quests will give you one or two Manual Pages depending on their difficulty, and these are the best source of Manual Pages in the early stages of the game.
Once you've run out of side quests, however, you'll have to scrounge for Manual Pages inside Dark Zones throughout Castor Woods. A returning feature from the other Dying Light games, Dark Zones are buildings infested with zombies. You can explore them at any time of day, but if you go at night, there will be fewer infected inside.
Regardless of when you choose to visit, Dark Zones will be patrolled by zombies in white straitjackets that will scream if they spot you. Take them out silently; otherwise, they'll wake up all the other sleeping infected in the building. You can sneak up behind them and dispatch them with a stealth takedown. Then, you'll be free to loot the Dark Zone without being bothered by the other zombies.
Each Dark Zone will display its possible loot when you hover over the icon on the map. If you see a book icon with a wrench and a hammer, that means you can find Manual Pages inside. They're not quite as common as other upgrade materials, and you'll usually just find one of them at the end of the Dark Zone behind a locked door.
Dark Zones refresh often, however, so you can come back another time and grab more Manual Pages down the line. You'll need plenty of Beginner and Intermediate Manual Pages to upgrade your favorite blueprints in Dying Light: The Beast, so focus on side quests and Dark Zones in the opening hours of the game to stock up.
