Getting the perfect outfit in Dying Light: The Beast won't be an easy task, since there are nine Armor Sets (without including the DLC exclusive gear) that players need to find, and each of them has six parts in total. That means 54 different armor pieces to find, spread across the vastness of Castor Woods.
This guide will help players track every Armor Set in Dying Light: The Beast, so if they are missing a part of any of them, they can check out the list below to figure out where it is.
Scavenger Armor Set
- 6% Common Craftparts Loot per set piece (36% total)
- 3% Uncommon Craftparts Loot per set piece (18% total)
- 4% Damage (Accessories) per set piece (24 % total)
The Scavenger Armor set is one of the best in the game. It offers intermediate protection while also increasing chances of obtaining extra resources and crafting materials while looting. Players can find every part by looting specific POIs. The Headpiece can be found in the Nate Market Dark Zone, located north of the Town Hall Settlement. The Scavenger Pants are located in the Vanity Store, close to the Town Hall as well. The Boots are located on Recreation Island, inside the Taurus Megastore Dark Zone. The Bracers can be found in another Nate Market Dark Zone, located crossing the Industrial Zone bridge, in the building with the Taxi 'label' (the same where players can get a special Legendary Weapon if they climb to the rooftop). The Chestpiece (Shirt) is located in the Vanity Store at the Golden Pines region (Villa Area). For the final piece of the set (Gloves), players will need to travel to the Farmlands region, and look for another Nate Market, a little above the Farms Tower Safe Spot.
Heavy Armor Set
- + Armor Per Set Piece (51 Total)
The Heavy Armor Set is an Outfit focused on extreme defense, offering the maximum amount of protection, but no other attributes. The Chest can be found at Station Sq. Apartment Dark Zone, in the Old Town. The Pants at the Library Sq. Apartment, a little bit above and to the right of the Library Tower Safe Zone. The Mask, can be found below Town Hall, at the Gallery Sq. Apartment. The Boots are found at the Warehouse Dark Zone, in the Industrial Park (below the Factory Relay). The Gloves, at the Factory Offices, a little bit further to the right on the map. Finally, the Bracers can be found at the School Dark Zone, located in the Villa Area.
Bruiser Armor Set
- 1.5% Damage Resistance (Infected) per set piece (9% total)
- 3% Damage (2-Handed Weapons) per set piece (18% total)
- 3% Damage (Power Attacks) per set piece (18% total)
The Bruiser Outfit can be extremely useful for those wielding powerful Two-Handed Swords since it greatly increases damage output with those weapons. The Cap (Headpiece) can be obtained by completing the Trouble in Paradise Secondary Quest. The Pants are obtained by completing the Good Vibrations Quest, given by Tom in the Town Hall. Completing the Hydro Puzzle Quest will reward players with the Bracers. The Boots are a reward for completing the Killing Streak mission, for Doug in the Town Hall.
Explorer Armor Set
- 2% Exp Gained per set piece (12% Total).
For the Explorer Armor Set, all players need to do is visit Doug at the Town Hall and spend their Old World Money by purchasing all the parts from him. This Outfit will significantly speed up the player's leveling, but it doesn't offer too much protection, so keep that in mind while roaming around Castor Woods.
Parkourist Armor Set
- +7% Damage (Parkour) per set piece (42% Total)
- +4% Damage (Melee Weapon Throw) per set piece (24% Total)
- -3% Stamina Cost (Melee Weapons) per set piece (-18% stamina cost Total)
The Parkourist Outfit can be easily obtained while visiting the Exiles' Cave, in the Northernmost region of the Castor Woods Map. Players can purchase all the pieces from the vendor there, and they will be glad they made that investment, since this armor set decreases the stamina cost of using Melee Weapons significantly. It also increases the damage melee weapons cause when thrown, and works really well combined with the Ciupaga Legendary Tomahawk.
Survivor Armor Set
- -3% Stamina Cost (Melee Weapons) per set piece (-18 % Total)
- +2% Damage (Melee Weapons) per set piece (+12% Total)
- +3% HP Restored on Healing per set piece (+18% Total)
As its name implies, the Survivor Armor Set increases the chances for Kyle Crane surviving the worst threats in Castor Woods. It not only increases outgoing damage while using melee weapons, but also reduces the cost of wielding them. It also increases the amount of HP healed each time players use a Medkit, Bandages, Regeneration Boosters, or the passive healing from activating the Beast Mode. To obtain this Set, players need to complete most of the Story Mission Quests, so players should brace themselves for a wild ride as they help Kyle Crane exact his revenge on the infamous Baron.
Soldier Armor Set
- +3% Damage (Firearms) per set piece (+18 % total)
- -3% Recoil (Firearms) per set piece (-18% recoil total)
- -1.5%% Damage (Humans) per set piece (9% total)
The Soldier Armor Set can be easily missed if players don't pay attention while completing some of the Secondary Missions of Dying Light The Beast. The Boots are the reward for completing a secondary quest called Killing Streak: Volume One (taken at the Town Hall, from Doug, the Vendor), and if players investigate the mission zone during this quest and pay attention to a small bench near the abandoned Convoy where the ambush happens, they will be able to find the Bracers. During Killing Streak: Volume Two, players can pick up the Gloves from the bench inside the Church. The neck piece (Head) can be found over the dining table of an abandoned house while completing the Killing Streak Volume Four. The pants are found in the Killing Streak: Final Chapter secondary Quest. After finishing off the psychos invading the Library tower, players can loot them from the locked room where the leader of the bandits activated the alarms. The Chest will also be the main reward for completing this Quest.
Merc Armor Set
- 1.5% Damage Resistance (Infected) per set piece (9% total)
- 3% Damage (Headshot or Headstrike) per set piece (18% total)
- -6% Firearms Recoil per set piece (-36% total)
For those players wanting to get the Merc Armor set, they should know it won't be an easy task, since it requires visiting a lot of places. The Chest Piece can be located at the Fishermen Island Tower Safe Spot, right in the middle of the river dividing Old Town and the Industrial Zone. The Boots can be looted from the Highway Tower Safe Spot, just on the outskirts of Golden Pines (Villa Area). The Pants are located in the Chimney's Tower Safe Spot, which requires quite a climb, and is located right in the middle of the Industrial Park. The Gloves can be found in the Recreation Island Tower Safe Spot. Finally, the Bracers can be looted from the Village Tower Safe Spot, below the Memorial Hill of Heroes, in the Golden Pine Park zone.
Rogue Armor Set
- +3% Recognition Time (Enemies) per set piece (Total 18%)
- +6% Stamina Damage per set piece (Total 36%)
- +3 % Damage (Backstab) per set piece (Total 18%)
This is the most difficult set to obtain, as all the parts are well hidden, but getting it is well worth the players' time, since this set greatly enhances stealth, and can help them complete some of the most annoying missions in the game, like Hunting Yaga and Some Flew Over The Volatiles Nest. Here's how to get every part of the Rogue Set:
Start by going to Golden Pines, to the house right above the 'n' on the Map. Inside, players can topple a framed picture near the library to reveal a button. Push it to open a panic room, and pick the Rogue Bracers from inside.
In the same area, if players travel to the house with the 'peace' mark, they will be able to loot the Boots, by entering the house and looking for some breakable boxes in a corner. Destroy them, then crawl into the basement, look for a fuse to fix the box, install it, then activate the power to open the safe storage. From inside, pick a key, then turn the power down to clear the electricity from the locker in the next room: The boots are inside the locker.
The Rogue Pants require solving a complex puzzle located in the Industrial Zone, right around the Chimney's Tower Safe Spot. Look for a small square fence surrounding a blue pipe, then climb it and drop below to reach a flooded basement. Dive and look for a way out by breaking the vent lid. Players will reach a machine room with a generator and some Virals. Kill the zombies, turn the generator on, grab the cable, and exit the power room through the underwater passage. Once outside, go around the building and cross the street to spot a power cable panel. Put the cable in the panel, then the fence will open. Claim the pants from inside this warehouse.
There's a Bug for this reward, which is also the location for the A2 Treasure Map in Dying Light: The Beast. Some players have reported the generator not working, or the power cable being impossible to pick up. If you find this issue, stay tuned for a fix in future patches.
The Rogue Mask is located inside the Green House in the Old Town Area right of the Town Hall. Enter the building marked on the map above, then go inside and spot a safe. The combination for this safe is 14-11-20, and the clue is in the Love Letter on the side of the Safe, which players need to follow up to a picture frame of a dog in the kitchen, accessible by balancing on the ledge of the building.
The Rogue Jacket can be located in a prepper bunker outside Old Town Area (in the National Park). Go to the location in the map above, and look for a small vent in a forest clearing, near a cliff. Open the vent, get inside, and look for the way to restore the power by lockpicking the door on the left and turning on the generator. Deal with the Virals that appear, then look for an air duct to enter the closed room on the opposite side of the bunker. Pick the access key card from the body, then return to open the locked room and claim the Rogue Chest piece, and a ton of UV Light Bars.
Finally, the Rogue Gloves are the most straightforward to get. They are located inside an abandoned cabin that players will find by reaching the location marked on the map above, which is on the outskirts of the Industrial Park. Simply walk inside the hut, and claim the Gloves from the shelf.
