While you can still use items and armor that are covered in goo, affected items will have a de-buff applied to lower their stats. For this reason, knowing how to remove the goo from weapons in Dungeons of Hinterberg is important. This will enable them to function as intended and even provide you with some handy benefits.

To remove the goo from armor and weapons, you will need to r aise your friendship with Klaus to Level 2, as this function is restricted until then. After doing so, you will unlock an option upon speaking to him that allows you to clean your goo-covered weapons. Klaus can be found in the Tourist Center, so head over here to locate him and start raising your friendship level if you have not already reached Level 2.

To raise your friendship with Klaus, there are a couple of different methods that you can use. First, you can hang out in the evening of your day, once you are done exploring dungeons. After doing so, your friendship level should increase straight up to Level 2, since you already befriended him and raised friendship to the first stage during the introduction and gameplay tutorial.
