Spice-Infused Copper Dust is a rare crafting material required to fabricate unique weapons, armors, and tools in Dune: Awakening. Players can only find this material in a very few chests across the map.

Unlike a lot of other materials in the game, Spice-Infused Copper Dust’s spawns are not random; all of its locations are fixed, which means you need to know where to look to find it. For players hoping to craft a full set of Unique gear for their build, obtaining a lot of this valuable crafting resource should be first on the agenda.

Where to Find Spice-Infused Copper Dust in Dune: Awakening

In Dune: Awakening, Spice-Infused Copper Dust can typically be found in special super-large chests that also contain Unique Schematics. Not all Unique Schematic chests contain this material; it can only be found inside a select few. In Hagga Basin South, there are three chests that spawn Spice-Infused Copper Dust.

Wreck of the Alcyon: East of the Griffin’s Reach Trading Post. Contains the Kaleff’s Drinker Unique Dagger Schematic
Imperial Testing Station No. 2: Between Griffin’s Reach Trading Post and the Wreck of the Alcyon. Contains The Emperor’s Wings Mk1 Unique Utility Schematic.
Old Griffin Hideaway: Just west of the Griffin outpost, hidden among the cliffs. Contains Way of the Fallen Unique Gun Schematic.

Once you find Spice-Infused Copper Dust, mark its location. After a period of time (roughly 45 minutes), the contents of this chest will respawn, which includes not only the Spice-Infused Copper Dust but also the Unique Schematic. Make sure to occasionally make return trips for these chests to obtain a surplus of these valuable resources.

How to Use Spice-Infused Copper Dust in Dune: Awakening

Spice-Infused Copper Dust is a crafting ingredient needed to make Uniques at a Fabricator in the player’s base with the corresponding Imperial Permit. After you’ve obtained a Unique Schematic for an item, return to the base and Research it (from the inventory). Then, use a Fabricator to craft the Unique item with the obtained Imperial Permit.

You do not need to carry Spice-Infused Copper Dust in your inventory for the Fabricator to detect it. As long as the item is one of the storage containers inside your base, it will be recognized.

Unique Schematics and Imperial Permits are one-time-use items, which means once you use them, they’ll be destroyed. In order to craft another one of the Uniques, you’ll need to obtain another Unique Schematic from the super-large chest and redo the process from the start.
