Industrial Pump is a late-game crafting component required for multiple crucial recipes in Dune: Awakening. It is a relatively rare material that only spawns in very specific locations that are fixed on the map of Arrakis.

Players hoping to build Mk4 and higher Ornithopters will require a large number of Industrial Pumps for the wings. Similarly, it is also a requirement for making the Dew Scythe, one of the most efficient water farming tools in the game.

How to Get Industrial Pumps in Dune: Awakening

There are four main ways to obtain Industrial Pumps in Dune: Awakening. They are:

  1. Sentinel City
  2. Crashed Ships
  3. Buy From Merchants
  4. CHOAM Exchange

Sentinel City

Sentinel City in Dune Awakening

Sentinel City is a major location in the Eastern Shield Wall area, the northernmost part of the map of Hagga Basin. Inside, you’ll find multiple chests containing Industrial Pumps, especially in the deeper areas. These chests respawn every 45 minutes, making this the only area where you can consistently farm for this item. High level enemies roam Sentinel City, and you’ll require at least Aluminum-tier weapons and armor to defeat them easily.

The area surrounding Sentinel City makes for an excellent base-building location as it is right in the middle of the late-game resources hotspots like Aluminum, Ethyrite Crystals, and others.

Crashed Ships

Across the desert of Arrakis, you’ll sometimes encounter white crashed ships out on the plains. These are different from the large Shipwrecks like the Wreck of the Pallas or the Wreck of the Alcyon, which are massive mile-wide shipwrecks that double as dungeons. Crashed Ships are much smaller in size, roughly the size of an Ornithopter, except cylindrical in shape and white in color. You’ll be able to spot them from a distance due to the smoke and fire they emit.

Once you find a Crashed Ship, use your Cutteray to scan for a removable hatch on the side. Inside, you’ll find some of the most valuable materials in the game, including Ship Manifests, Ray Amplifiers, and, of course, Industrial Pumps. There are typically two scannable hatches on crashed ships, one on each side.

Crashed Ships are often in the middle of the desert, within the detection range of the Sandworm. Leave quickly, lest you become worm food.

Buy From Merchants

Zoe, the merchant at the Crossroads Tradepost, sells 15 Industrial Pumps for 2,500 Solaris each. Her stock is limited but refreshes every 24 hours (real-time). The Crossroads Tradepost is located just southeast of Mysa Tarill, near the Eastern Shield Wall.

CHOAM Exchange

At Arrakeen or Harko Village, you can buy or sell items to other players via the CHOAM Exchange. To buy Industrial Pumps, go to the MISC tab on the far right, select Components, and scroll down to Industrial Pumps. If another player has put up any for sale, you’ll see the listing here. Take note, however, that since Industrial Pumps are rare resources, it is uncommon to find them on sale at the Exchange.
