Dune: Awakening has plenty challenging missions to complete, and among them there's a few that require a little bit of insight and puzzle solving. The Jackal is one of those missions, and to complete it, players will need to travel to Arrakeen, searching for the elusive last assassination target for Elara Tuek.

This walkthrough guide contains all the information players need to find The Jackal's Alley in Arrakeen, as well as how to find the three keywords to speak to The Jakal and complete the mission.

How To Find The Jackal's Alley In Dune Awakening

To start The Jackal in Dune: Awakening players need to speak to Elara Tuek after completing the Water Fat mission. There will be an intermission objective called The Last Target, which players need to complete before unlockign the last assassination mission to advance in the Epilogue Quest.

Simply speaking to Elara in the Hanivaar will pinpoint The Jackal's location at Arrakeen, and she will also grant a Shigawire Garote to the players, since they cannot carry weapons inside the Atreides base of operations. Now follow the next steps to find the correct location:

  1. Travel to Arrakeen social hub.
  2. Head to the map marker, go down the stairs and turn right.
  3. Look for an opening in the wall and interact with it to enter the Jackal's Alley.

This guide will show players how to unlock the 3rd Ability slot in Dune: Awakening to help them in combat.

Now, players will need to talk to various NPCs, before finding the Jackal and completing this assassination quest. They will have to find three words to force The Jackal into a confrontation, so buckle up: It's time to use some persuasion and riddle-solving skills.

Currently, there's no way to join the Jackal's Alley in groups, since its not a multiplayer instance. This quest cannot be completed in groups, and needs to be addressed individually.

How To Find The Three Words

Players would have probably already spoken to the Wolf at the entrance of Jackal's Alley, but they will also need to speak to The Beggar and The Vulture if they want to get all three keywords to make The Jackal answer to them.

The Wolf requires a little bit of a riddle solving, which is quite straighforward. Pay attention to the way he presents the challenge, speaking about searching, and completing a quest. Players should pick the following option:

  • Is the word "seek"?

For the next part, speak to The Beggar, who is actually unable to speak. She will try to mimick the word, and its a pretty much straightforward path to the answer: "Footprint."

Finally, players should direct their attention to the bottom right of the Jackal's Alley to find the Vulture next to a campfire. Speaking to him will let them know that he is not in his right mind, but be polite and say hi to 'Felicity' to listen to his story and let him share the third word, which is "worm."

With all the words together, go to the spot where The Beggar pointed, and find The Jackal standing next to a disheveled tent. Speak the words to him: "I seek the footprints of the worm," to make him answer and tell his tale. The information provided by The Jackal is key to solving the mystery of the Fremen, so players should be extremely careful and pay attention to his story. Once he is done, he will ask them to complete their mission by killing him. No matter what players choose, the outcome will be the same, and after a cutscene, the mission will be over and the players will receive as a reward The Jakal's Blindfold, a light armor headpiece with 15% Poison Resistance.
